keeping him on the roster was as baffling as keeping frank after the broken leg. bouk, at best, was kept only for trade salary purposes, meaning he is completely useless come friday. he won't be back here next year in any scenario. we aren't playing him, even when everyone is hurt. we haven't sent him to swarm for game time. so we're left with a disgruntled, immature malcontent with legal issues to hang around a bunch of other young impressionable rookies. baffling decision for a team needing a culture reset.

especially when you have vets like Tony Bradley playing G league who could have been plugged in and helped the team not get pummeled all the time.

Has a 40% 3pt ever shooter ever been that bad a FT shooter?

Thought the same thing about Bruce Bowen. 39.3 3FG%, 57.5 FT% career.

Wonder if we could get a young player like Springer in Philly for Miles. Philly gotta find talent to keep them afloat while Embiid recovers. I like Springer potential as a high level role player. Maybe a Bruce Brown kinda guy.

Woj was just on ESPN saying that after his back to back 40 pieces, we will probably keep Miles and try to resign him this summer.

Meh, after all the buzz recently I'm expecting a quiet day on our end.

Miles Bridges on if he still wants to be in Charlotte:

"Yeah! I mean, my answer doesn't change. I love to be here, I got drafted here, they stuck with me through my lowest time... so I for sure want to be here."

I think that was always our plan. I mean, we've had literally months to trade if if we wanted to. Woj doesn't know everything.

Meanwhile Mitch forgot Hayward and Lowry exist because they both refuse to play

I believe Jake Fischer outing Hayward as a buyout candidate two weeks ago chilled the market for Gordon. Fischer has gone to the bottom of my list, Yahoo dipwhistle.

If Hayward and Lowery can be dealt I'd consider this trade window a success.

Blame Fischer if you want to, but the blame belongs with the front office for running their mouth and saying it out loud. He’s not posting that without a source. And yes, I’m sure it was Mitch Kupcake. He’s such a softie pushover for other GM’s and the press. No wonder they limit his exposure to reporters.

How happy would you guys be if we trade PJ for Green, Holmes, and two 2nd round picks?

Meh. Green is overrated IMO, I'm not sure I want guards than shoot 60% on their FT's. PJ is more useful if he's used in his proper role than Green is.

PJ is the most “warm body average nba player” i’ve ever seen, so at this point just get off his contract.

team clearly feels the same way if they are shopping him like this
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

I’ve said earlier that I like that deal. Green can be a backcourt pairing with Melo that brings D, good shooting and glue to the 4 M’s. Holmes can be our key bench big…hopefully would play more up to his pre-issue level with his fresh start.

Also keeping Miles is the right call unless you get a STRONG offer for him. Yes he’s got work to do on his game, but so does everybody else. Hopefully we can sign him for a market-reasonable number. If not we can sign and trade later.

is miles able to sign here in the offseason if we trade him? that would be hilarious if we whored him out for half a season for an asset and got him back anyway because we are one of the only teams able to give him a big contract anyway

That would be utterly crap. His contract itself is worth a 1st pick (even more laughable if we talk about next draft), and a good one. It's not like there is just Dallas interested in PJ locked at that price for 2 more years.
He could be even more valuable as a tradable player next year.

Bridges might be gone (i wish, but i am not sure that's the majority), Hayward too... You don't get rid of starters/borderline starters by trading one of them for bench players and potential' from the second round.

I know we wanted Grant Williams during the summer, but he's been bad in Dallas so not sure how I feel about trading for him.
