RIP. We had a real center for like 20 games.

I'm both encouraged and afraid that Mark was evaluated by the best back specialist in the country. Mitch said it won't affect his career long-term, but as always with this team seeing is believing.

Mark is really taking the Embiid path of entry into the league lol.

At this point, shut him down for the remainder of this season. Let him recover, get the therapy he needs and be ready hopefully for the start of the '24-'25 season.

The ship has sailed on this year and would prefer a top draft pick over playing unhealthy players with a transition in the front office/ownership. Not a tank job, but not further putting our core in harm's way.

Clearly finding a starting level Center in free agency or trade is a priority this summer. We can't assume that Mark will be healthy next year, and we need to upgrade over nick.

Is he a C? He's looking like the top prospect now.

Looks like they might be considering Nnaji for the rest of the year, Mitch is visiting him anyhow

Agree with an earlier post, we need to prioritize getting a legit starting level vet center in the offseason, Mark and the Vet can battle for the job and either can assume bigger role if needed for injury/rest. Nick can assume 3rd C role and Nnaji can come over and develop as the 4th center.

this needed to be a focus whether or not Mark is going to have long term issues... as it is, he hasn't been a big minute guy, mid to high 20s... We need another big man who can swing between the 4 and 5 to cover the rest of our center minutes over Richards (who I think we can all admit now is terrible), and then play some spot minutes with Mark... preferably someone who can stretch the floor.

I don't like him but I think we pursue Kelly Olynyk in the offseason and demote Nick to 3rd string... I'd aim higher though. Valanciunas could be a very nice addition but can't really play alongside Mark at all

(Siakam would be the dream scenario, but we have no chance of coercing him to come here)

Richards is a decent backup or elite third string Center. I don't get the hate. It's not his fault he's been forced to start for half the season with no other options.

Great question and up for debate. Seems like an insanely talented 4, but listed on a lot of sites as a C too. If Mark can regain his health, the thought of Sarr at PF and Williams at the 5 is tantalizing.

Is there any update on him at all? Did he secretly get attacked by a pack of ninja thieves or something?

"Mark's been the same as Melo. Mark's worked hard, done everything he's been asked to do... it's just the injury hasn't responded the way we hoped it would. All you can do is, they keep doing their work and hope they can have a good summer."

Also not good

I hope he does. If he was healthy all year even when Melo was down that's an extra 10 wins for the hornets with Melo down. He's a real impact player when he's on the floor. When he starts at center and is healthy we are a much better team.

He was seen walking out of the interview with a walker, like old people use.

Again with the "hope to play" games quip

Not comfy with that. Shouldn't even be a question
