I would've vehemently disagreed 7 weeks ago. But yeah basically trading away the first pick in next years draft is pretty **** bad. Lol.

And this is only the first of back-to-back winless seasons.

Lol. I wouldn't go that far. Well finish 2-15 this season

You know it's bad when your goal is to not go winless.

Reich is definitely Football Clifford, but the Panthers don't have and are simply unable to draft a player as impactful as LaMelo. Give them 15 straight No. 1 overalls, and they'd get maybe 4-5 starters. Then when you take coaching and meddling ownership into consideration, none of them can succeed.

Not a chance my man. They're not winning a game til 2025. Might have one more somewhat close loss this season, but that's it.

If you can get a good QB, that solves half your problems in the NFL. Hopefully this season doesn't ruin Bryce.

The Panthers will be in the NFC title game before the Hornets are in the ECF. A lot easier to turn things around in the NFL, we just have to pretend the team doesn't exist this year and probably next.

The Panthers will definitely ruin Bryce short-term. He'll win 2026 Comeback Player of the Year honors elsewhere, though.

It's better for Charlotte if the Panthers also end up elsewhere.

Bryce is fine, but I also see Panther fans state that if you give him a #1 wr and improve the Oline everything will be fine.

The tough thing is... both of those are extremely hard to find in the NFL. Especially when they are down a #1 and #2 pick in the next 2 drafts. Example being... the news coming out they are shopping for #1 wr, well 99% of the time those guys aren't available. The chances of drafting a #1 wideout after the first round are really really low.

Hence we see guys like Sky Moore, Terrace Marshall, Jonathan Mingo, Wandale Robinson, John Metchie, Tyquan Thornton be little to no impact players in the 2nd round the last few years.

Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin just tipped off their first season as Co-Chairmen and majority owners of the Charlotte Hornets. They joined Hornets Radio Play-by-Play broadcaster Sam Farber for an in-depth interview discussing the young core already assembled on the floor, their goals for the franchise overall, and how they hope their stewardship will impact and be remembered by Charlotte and fans of the Hornets.

At least 22 other NFL teams have a #1 WR. Several teams have two #1 WR (Eagles, Vikings, Rams) The Panthers (Fitterer) are just freaking awful at drafting

GOAT Hedge Fund Manager Tepper torpedoing the Panthers hasn't prevented that franchise's value from continuing to climb. That kind of asset appreciation is why hedgies like S&P want to own a franchise like the Hornets.

Whoever replaces him will be the chance for the new owners to either do something meaningful, or hire another one of MJ's friends.

Should show us how serious they are about moving away from Jordan era cronyism

Wouldn't be mad if they promote Mitch and hire a new GM.

yeah, Whitfield was a relic of the Bob Johnson cronyism era, but he didn't really have anything to do with the product on the floor. I'm hoping the Hornets will take this opportunity to really flesh out their business ventures, and I really hope that kind of change (and ambition to do more) proliferates throughout every inch of the organization, because it's pretty rough top to bottom right now. with the notable exception of the Honeybees, who are awesome.
