Ah, got it. Kind of weird to have a countdown for something like that unless you're going to be a 16 year old girl or 21 year old or something.

Not sure showing a lot of maturity on IG is PJ's strong suit, lol

I’m pleasantly shocked that a) this got done at all and it’s not the qualifying offer and b) it’s only $16m/yr instead of $20m. Well done, finally a W.

If we sign Miles to a huge contract next summer and Miller is as good as we hope PJ will be a good trade piece on a reasonable contract. This is easily the best thing we've done this summer outside of the draft (LaMelo's extension was a no brainer for both sides).

No complaints other than the wait, this is a fair deal

three years is the key for me. he maintains trade value throughout the duration and doesn't hamper long term plans

Sometimes, the nba shows both sides can be smart. Great news for the Hornets. Hopefully the plan now is to find a place for Rozier baring a little incentive.

Mitch listened to the board for once. Good deal. PJ at 16 is tradeable. Wonder if the third year is a player option, because that would be nice if so. There's a 2% chance PJ has a breakout season like Lauri, but I think he is what he is at this point
I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Rod is reporting no options. Sean Marks said the deal is 15.5 million guaranteed with $500k in likely incentives.

Excluding no-brainer max extensions (Melo, Hali, Edwards) is this the most team-friendly deal hammered out this summer? Seems like everything else this year was either a preordained max or a slight overpay.

Playing hardball works, as long as you aren't worlds apart to start negotiations.
