If 2021 is going to be in there so should 2008, in which we had two picks in the same ranges (#9 and #20 instead of #11 and #19). DJ had 1.5 good years at least, but 2008 was WAY more stacked in the ranges we were picking. Look at the list of guys we missed with the Ajinca pick...

21-26 was a huge run of really good players: Ryan Anderson, Courtney Lee, Kosta Koufos (ok he was just aight), Serge Ibaka, Nic Batum, George Hill... plenty of good early 2nd rounds in that class too. Whiffing on two 1sts in arguably the deepest draft of the 21st century is ROUGH.

On the other hand, there isn't a single player picked after Kai that I'm really losing sleep over in 2021, and even with Bouk, only Sengun and Murphy (#16 and #17) are doing anything. I think 2008 was a far bigger blunder, although the 2021 class flamed out in a far more comical manner.

Jalen Johnson says high at pick 20. He's finally getting minutes and looking good

I think it is fitting on the night we induct Crash as a team legend, we have a number of guys that are worthy of their own recognition here....

We should recognise our best, not just our more frequent failures
