Hoping for the best for the Hornets tonight, expecting to be frustrated.

Optimistic for Scoot.

I'm here for the drama. Don't have a strong opinion on who we draft, and I actually kinda hope we trade for Zion because I dunno I guess I'm a sadist? I feel like it would continue the bizarro roller coaster ride that is being a Hornets fan.

If they offered Zion and Murphy for #2, Hayward and filler I’d consider it seriously. Murphy’s really good, and is going to get even better. IF …and a BIG IF, Zion ever got seriously focused enough to keep weight down and stay healthy, this Hornets version would be seriously dangerous.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

The closer we get to the draft, the less I want us to pick Scoot. We just wont' have the spacing for him or Lamelo to operate together and I don't want to do the whole "draft Scoot and figure it out later, even if you have to trade one". I'd rather not be stuck on a Dame/McCollum style treadmill.

Almost my exact same thinking. I'm basically 50/50 at this point. Both scare me. I'm now down for rolling dice on zion. Why the **** not???

If we are leaning Scoot, I just hope we've talked to Melo. I don't want to see some random tweet from him immediately after the pick.

Itz BeEn real

Then he likes a post on IG from some Melo Stan talking about how the Hornets disrespected him.

FWIW. Sheena definitely knows some things, but she's been more reliable on the Panthers front than Hornets. she definitely hears things and she doesn't pipe up in this way too often. but again, FWIW, which maybe is not much.

From Wasserman

"Majority of NBA folks prefer Scoot > Miller. Kupchak's comments yesterday suggesting CHA can't afford to prioritize fit over talent, clashed with initial comment at the lotto that CHA is in position to draft for fit. CHA preferring Miller felt like a rumor that snowballed

I'll say, everyone around the league has been guessing Hornets take Miller, because that's what they heard "rival teams" say. Nobody could trace the origin of the idea that Hornets always preferred Miller"

Oh boy!

MJ pushing all his chips to the middle while holding a pair of 8s.

Sometimes you just have to go for it. Just don't get fleeced and give up assets in addition to #2 other than Hayward.

"Majority of NBA folks" lmao.

At the very least, credible draft analysts/beat writers and whatnot are split on Henderson vs Miller.

Dean just posted his finished big board. He has Miller it too and Scoot at 4 in the Thompson Twins completely unranked in the undraftable section. Lol.

He has Cason Wallace at number 3. Cam Whitmore ranked in the mid teens.

Probably true, but Wasserman isn't a hack. He's been doing this for decades and is well sourced.

I've always believed that most Scouts and draft experts were probably about 50/50 on this decision which is why I never found it all that believable when there were rumors that the majority of decision makers preferred Miller.

Agree with Dean that Wallace is being overlooked a la most Kentucky guards - don't think he's #3 good, but he's top 10 good. Funny about the twins.
