Man he already took uniform with KG's 21! :)
If he can just a bit what KG is, he would be the biggest steal of the draft.

He said KG was/is his idol.

Give DJ a break, it's not easy to answer questions about Katrina if you had to be evacuated and lost your home forever. I understand why he didn't think about these question and didn't go much further than yes and no.

OT: I always wondered - which NBA teams are popular in France in general ?
Spurs with Parker, Suns with Diaw, which teams? Thx for answer.

Spurs(TP), Suns not so much, a lot of french who follow basketball closely feel -and rightly so- that he is a guy who do not live up to his potential, and that's really frustating, notably for the french NT- I mean, who can really blame when he's the second best scorer in the 07 Euro??- Lakers for Kobe and Turiaf, Cavaliers, lot of guys have LeBron's jersey, and Philly for AI before...
I know that there are not many fans of teams like the Hawks, the Jazz, the Wolves..

More info for Ajinca from Nike Hoop Summit April 2008!
Though not comparable to NBA competition, still a good comparison.

I read this article in April, more because of Ibaka I admitt. Good piece of puzzle to get overall insight of what player he is.

Unlike the last Givony's article (grades of draft) where he is writing just almost the same as "experts". I expected more from him.

French article about Ajinca.

8-) http://www.lequipe.fr/Basket/breves2008/20080627_073101_ajinca-a-charlotte-batum-a-portland_Dev.htm

For me, the most interesting scenario would be being drafted by a growing which would allow me to play.Charlotte would be perfect.
That was the day before the draft.

About Larry Brown: " I know he's tough on rookie and young players.
But he was this way before because he was coaching good , veteran teams.
Here in Charlotte it's a growing franchise, he's gonna change, I'm not affraid on this subject.

Overall, he seems really happy with his team being the Bobcats, and is motivated by the idea of playing with LB.

I would translate the whole article, but the rest is less important IMO- but feel free to ask-
And as always, sorry for the poor English.

I've just run into this clip http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/se ... onsh_sport - it's Alexis fast break and dunk agains China from last year Under-19 WC.

I remeber this tournament, I saw the USA-France match and Beasley was non existing in that game. It was France game to lose in final quarter and they did lose.

YEA!

I love how due to the blowout he didn't want to pass the ball to one of his two leading teammates so he could do his 7 footer version of vc's dunk.

BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!!

Well, Ajinca didn't plan out obviously (scary MJ was thinking of him at #9!!). Amusing Brown thought he could end up being top 3-4 pick material if he waited a year. But at least Ajinca is still making some hay for his country:

He did actually average 15 points for the runner-up of the French league this year and felt aferwards that he is ready for an NBA comeback. The Warriors invited him to camp this summer but it doesn't seem like he actually hung on.

Seems like such ancient history, hard to believe he's still only 25.

he always had the size and skill to be a good player. he just didnt have the willpower and determination. perhaps as he matured his work ethic and desire have improved.

just saw him put up 25 points on 9/12 shooting. granted, our defense was bad but let's say somebody watched him play for the first time in his life. I bet that person would assume he should be a legit NBA player. he just was unstoppable out there.

dude definitely has the talent and it does seem like he has matured.

I always thought he was a decent player and we just never gave him enough of a chance to develop. I would love to see us bring him back.

I wouldn't. He's garbage.

Do not want him back. Too many bad memories of that draft pick. Let him be.
