If you guys wanted financial relief we could have offered Ben Wallace's buyout :(

If the Bobcats are looking to get a center back, while saving money, why not:

Camby for Okafor

That saves the Bobcats much more than if they got Chandler, plus Camby is more productive than Chandler.

Why the **** couldn't we get Carlos Boozer or someone who's actually good?

Hi guys, I was wondering, would you prefer Brad Miller, Kirk Hinrich, future considerations (a pick, or Omer Asik, etc.) for Okafor, Bell, and Ajinca? Ajinca is in there simply to salary match. We would compensate you for him, basically, with these future considerations. You guys would no longer need to resign Felton, and I think Hinrich's just a better fit. Miller is a solid veteran expiring, and Hinrich can be that 1/2 defender and shooter you guys might appreciate next to Augustin and Henderson. Please don't flame me if you hate it, I'm just a UConn fan pining for Ben Gordon, and hoping to replace him with solid Oak.

its all about the years on the contracts...

like coolio said... 24mil in expiring deals in 2011. if chandler can give us 85% of okafor's output for the next 2 years we could finally be on track finacially to do something of note in 2011. we arent going anywhere past the 1st round with okafor. we may still make it to the playoff with chandler. chandler just might be a better fit with boris also.

but then again... you guys know i've never been a huge mek fan.

all that being said, due to chandlers injury concerns i think we should get more in the deal.

I wonder if we could send Diop with Oak for Chandler and contracts expiring until 2011 (and picks and cash possibly). That would free up big man position for Lexy to mature. Still I refuse to believe this whole thing is true. Ballwhore anyone?

we give iverson a two year deal, make a run with him, then we start over in 2011.

starters next year:

felton/dj
iverson/bell
wallace/vlad/brown
diaw/jinx
chandler/diop/nazr

Wow Chandler's failed one physical and PHX chose to buy out Ben Wallace instead of trading for his 2 year contract based on his gaffed medical. You guys can't give up Okafor for that, maybe he is really toast and it is going to be a medical situation but damn Okafor only makes 10.5 mil there has to be 20 teams that would give you an expiring deal for him.

This deal makes soem sense from a financial standpoint but that's the only good I see from it. I am not a Tyson Chandler fan, he is strong and plays D well but I think he's way over rated. Chris Paul makes him look awesome, withough Paul he isnot the same player. I like Emeka way better.

I don't like this deal but I am a little happy that it when down because I like to watch Emeka but never get the chance because the Bobcats get no respect nationally. Now I will see him play a number of times a year including the 3 or 4 when the Hornets go up against my wolves.

I also think Emeka is going to be huge next to Chris Paul, I can't wait to see the beast be unleashed next season. Hopefully the Bobcats get it together. Maybe Chandler will finally be able to produce well on his own.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Man I cant understand why in the world you guys do this trade. I would take Emeka over Chandler every day of the week all year. It's too bad we couldn't ship you guys Boozer for Emeka. Jazz fans are huge fans of Emeka and would have loved to see him land here.

I cant say Im excited about it...I like Chandler but Im not crazy about him.....At the same time cant really say Im dissapointed either....I've never been much of an Okafor fan, he's never was & was never going to be the franchise player we thought we were getting when we drafted him and doesnt seem to have a passion for basketball....so either way Im still a fan and dont think the dropoff will be significant..... My problem is if we are trading him for cap relief we couldnt get a big contract or 2 that expire this year to start the rebuilding now?? Houston wants/needs a Center & has $20+ million of McGrady sittin on the sidelines?!!

As long as it isnt Crash, Diaw and to some extent DJ being trade without getting a star in return Im ok with it...life goes on

Anyone else see Chris Paul with a scowl across his face yelling very loudly at Emeka during a botched screen and roll in the very near future?

In saying that, maybe CP3 is just the thing that EO50 needs to break out and extract the digit?

man ham is gonna have a field day with this... remember all those posts about IF okafor had chris paul he would be a star cause felton doesnt pass to him and shoots too much. probably true.

i guess we finally get to find out for certain.

how much will okafor average playing next to the best pg in the league?
