Espn is reporting that Bobcats and Hornets are in serious discussion on a Okafor for chandler Deal.

Its not a swap. The trade is centered around those players.

Just caught this looking at the transactions board.

Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting a Charlotte-New Orleans swap. Says that we are getting Tyson Chandler...and giving up Emeka Okafor.

It'll be even better if we had more details. It's hard to judge a trade that is still in talks. From the looks of it, it seems like it's a wash in my opinion. Both are just defensive centers with no offense. What's the deal with Tyson's contract?

wow that sucks. Emeka becomes a star playing next to Paul, we are lucky to get 40 games out of Chandler. Id do this if we got David West or something as well but jeez

So we'd be paying Chandler more for less production the next two seasons, while probably forgetting about the playoffs. Great!

knowing our front office i would think the deal is straight up or with us potentially giving more... and we are doing this purely to cut salary for 2 years down the road when LB leaves and we blow the entire thing up and start over. until them i guess LB thinks okafor is not that impressive and can get by with chandler adn diop just fine.

Mek for Tyson straight up would be a terrible deal for us. When Chandler was healthy he wasn't as good as Mek, and now he's broken down.

I can't imagine any deal involving just the Cats and Hornets plus Chandler/Mek that I would like. Not unless we somehow pull Chris Paul and I don't think that's possible at all.
