Chandler, Posey, and Hilton Armstrong for Okafor and Nazr.

I would welcome that trade.

This seems like a lose- lose deal for both sides ( that is unless there are other significant players involved in the trade, or teams) since you guys would be getting the lesser player while NO gets even more salary, which would be dumb seeing as how they are trying shed it.

okafor may have more value in terms of next year... but chandler has less years on his deal.

i'm just sayin..... i have zero faith in higgins and bob johnson. i only trust LB and who knows how he really feels about mek.

I... I really can't even think hard about this deal. This would be (Please Use More Appropriate Word) on so many levels, and would confirm that the front office has no interest in winning, ever. This would be the step needed for me to select a new team to follow until ownership changes or something dramatic happens (I'd still hang around the board, but I'd try to ingratiate myself to some other fanbase as well).

There's no way West or Paul are in the trade, or it would be characterized as Okafor for West/Paul instead of Chandler. Honestly, I'm not sure what pieces they could send back that would make this NOT a horrible deal for us.

I doubt they give up Julian Wright, since he's cheap and young... perhaps this would be how we dump Nazr's contract for Hilton Armstrong. That's the only "add on" (besides picks) that I can see.

Chandler+Armstrong+1st for Okafor+Nazr? I'm still not happy, but at least that way we pick up some salary and a first rounder.

LB is probably the one pushing this deal. Remember he is the one trying to go out with a bang.

Not necessarily as West's contract is only 2mil.

He's going to command a much higher salary than the one he's currently on and its pretty obvious they're trying to cut salary (Why they trade for Mek is beyond me). They don't want to lose West for nothing so they get a starting SG to pair with CP3. Though I doubt they care about that as Raja is getting older.

This deal needs way more details

I've put up with a lot of **** decisions this franchise has made, so I'll be around still, but this would break my bobcat-heart.

Gonna go scout other franchises.

If they make this trade straight up then they might as well bust up the lineup now. Trade everybody!

And on that note, I am now a Hornets fan again!

Bye-bye, Bobcats.

And to Raymond Felton, please sign with the Hornets. You'll still log 30 minutes a game, even if you're coming off the bench.

There has to be more to this, right? Like...Okafor has a career ending injury that we don't know about or something? Okafor slept w/ Jordan's girl? Something?

So those sh'theads in our front office are still wondering, why there are only 1000people attending our games? Guess what, THIS is why.

It looks why are the most (Please Use More Appropriate Word) franchise in sports history.

I like the trade if Chandler is healthy because we need his length at the 5 spot. Okafor is too small to play center, gets pushed around too much and overrated defensively. He takes way too many plays off and is often sucking wind 5 minutes into the game. Also he's constantly whining which probably ticks off his teammates and coaches. Now I know Chandler is no great shakes on offense, but at least he knows this and won't demand the ball like the offensively challenged Okafor often does. I'm surprised there is a team out there willing to take on the 5 years left he has on his contract.

All of you are seriously overracting.

All the sites reporting the trade are based off the same AP story, which says

"A person familiar with the deal..."

and

"The deal is centered around Chandler and OKafor..."

its not a straight up swap, and hell, it isn't even a trade yet. Yet people are declaring rooting for other teams already.

Didn't thruthefire say the same thing after the Boris/J-rich deal anyway?

this may go down as one of the worst trades since VC was traded to NJ for the Williams sisters.

I really hope that Chandler is healthy, otherwise this would be a mess if he misses 30 games next season. Means, we basically traded Okafor for nothing.
