The Wolves defense is absolutely stifling and Denver’s depth is non-existent. Minnesota is just the better team right now. That MPJ contract is hurting Denver’s ability to maintain depth around Jokic and Murray.

Gilbert Arenas is one of the biggest know-nothings in the current NBA media landscape and is an insecure tribalistic knucklehead who hates European players. Maybe what he's saying is true, I doubt it, but he can hardly be relied upon as an impartial source here.

As for Jokic, the guy has just put together a body of work that includes 2, soon to be 3, MVPs. One championship. One finals MVP. Clearly the best player in the league the last couple seasons, posting some of the best advanced stats we've seen in the history of the game. He has one bad game against some of the most insane defence we've seen in recent years, and all of a sudden he's overrated and the "he doesn't care about basketball" meme resurfaces? Is that seriously where we're at? Not even mentioning the fact that he's never played with another all-star, which is insane at this point, and has still achieved what he has despite that. So no, I'm not going to criticise him too harshly given his recent accomplishments.

Some folks really need to develop a sense of perspective and stop being prisoners of the moment.

Jokic is the most dominant offensive force in NBA history but he can’t make up for essentially a supporting cast that would struggle to win 7 games without him in an 82 game season. And that’s the current Nuggets!

They took away Denver's bread & butter pick & roll and thinks are turning into shambles literally overnight. It was all good just a week ago when Murray was burying the Lakers with buzzer beaters and on track for a repeat. I will say that Jokic did looked checked out in game two and wants this to end so he can get to his horse stables and dance away in Greece over the summer.
