Oh please, don't give us this crap. The Pistons have gotten screwed more than every other team outside of that one time in the Cade draft going back decades so we have a reason to complain.

Knicks have been screwed more. You just got the #1 a few years ago

I think we will see the Spurs and Hawks get immediately better from this. Can't say the same about the Pistons or Hornets...

Sarr is like 3-4 years away, he's way too thin and bad on offense.

He looks like a late lotto pick any other year, how he’s a better asset than Clingan or Edey based on actual production is mind boggling, not to mention better qualified non Americans.

Sarr is much better at perimeter and transition defense. Pretty elite there.

Offensively he is.... Honestly bad. He'll be one of the worst offensive players in the NBA for a while as he's not good at scoring inside or outside right now. The hope is he eventually develops into a good shooter or a good finisher around the basket.

That's where I thought playing with a playmaker like Trae would help.

Trae's 25 and signed through 2027. Atlanta can wait a couple years.

But yeah, also a reasonable chance that Sarr is nothing special.

Say the Spurs would absolutely love someone at #1, would they trade #4 and #8 to move up to to pick first?

I'm pretty sure no team has ever dropped to 5th from 1st and Pistons have now done it in back-to-back years. So....

lmao. Be more upset at your team for fumbling top 5 picks for like half a decade straight

I mean, realistically, Detroit has drafted well to be fair after they started tanking.

In 2020, they took the bust Hayes at #7.
In 2021, Cade was the consensus #1 pick and isn't a bust based on his play last year.
In 2022, Ivey & Duren were good picks. In between them, only Jaylen Williams would be taken over them.
In 2023, Ausar at #5 was a home run swing. I don't fault them for that.

They have just been cursed by the ping pong balls.

Stop tanking

That’s the thing! The Pistons WEREN’T tanking!

They were honestly bad, and the franchise and fanbase that most needed a top pick.

That would be really dumb in this draft IMO. I'd way rather have 2 shots in the top 10 than one shot at #1 in this draft. By far.

I'm trying to think of a high lottery pick Center that is bad at offense that was a success, Tyson Chandler? Any others?

I didn't think about counting Bill Russell, but he averaged 16 ppg for his career wasn't terrible.

Fair, the Knicks are probably the one team that has been screwed more. The Pistons have literally never even held their draft spot outside of 1 year, every other time has been a drop and they're not only the only team to drop from 1 to 5 but did it twice in a row.

Knicks have never moved up since 85. Fell back a bunch but never moved up. Fell back when they had the worst record in the league

Feels like this pick #3 is going back to the Nets in a Mikal Bridges trade

I think you're overstating how bad he is on offense. His offense is WAYYY better than his rebounding

A lot of outrage from Pistons fan but they had a 47.9% chance of getting the 5th pick. Not like this was some crazy outcome with respect to Detroit's result.

You can be completely sure, because it wasn’t until 2019 that the lottery chose four picks, not three.

The worst would have been 4th from 1st.
