Mitchell 100 locked in going to Miami or The Knicks.

Cleveland aren't mugs, they are not going to lay over and accept the poo poo platter of scrubs and poor quality picks The Lakers can offer them

I think the Lakers will try to package picks and a signed DLo for Trae.

I don't know about the cavs but some team will always end up doing the Lakers a favor when it comes to trades.

Unless it's a team that wants to cut/shread cap space like the Wizards did with Rui, the days of the Lakers getting discount trades from gullible other teams is over.

Dan Gilbert isn't going to try help cement Lebron's LA legacy by sending Spida over there, that's for sure.
Anyhow most media reports and rumours suggest Mitchell wants to stay on the East Coast if he leaves The Cavs, most likely to one of Miami, Knicks and Nets. (If I was a betting man, I would say he ends up at South Beach over summer)

Miami has worse players and arguably worse picks.

National discourse around Miami trying to poach your star vs the Lakers

I think Miami would be prepared to put Jaquez Junior on the table in any potential trade discussion for Spida (along with Herro, Robinson) plus maybe a couple of other expiring contracts and their first rounder this year.

That would definitely be better than any potentkal Lakers package.

But as I say, Spida apparently wants to stay in the East Coast.

Butler is an interesting case. Very easy to imagine him departing Miami, don't think The Cavs would want him though (wants too much money)

Makes sense. LeBron is still a great player and we all saw how bad the Lakers were before him and ad showed up. They don't want to rebuild again until they have to

Lakers going out sad
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

The difference is the Bucks are a small market franchise who were mediocre/awful for decades before Giannis and isn’t and never will be a premier FA destination. The Lakers are the biggest brand in the NBA and one of the 3 most important franchises in NA(Yankees,Cowboys) they really don’t have to do all this for Lebron. Once again it tells me that Jeannie has no confidence in her own leadership and is deathly afraid of life w/o Lebron. Those post-Kobe/pre-Lebron years spooked her so her mantra basically is if you’re a big star come to LAL and they will treat you like royalty even when you get old
