obviously I can't speak for those GMs. it means: imo, 30\30 gms wil take ANT over Tatum
statisticaly? is that those same stats that related to ANT's rs %'s and +-? i'm talking about the playoffs. in his short career ANT has elevated his game in the playoffs and Tatum, while having plenty of opportunity - did not. that's not to say he's a bad playoff performer, on the contrary, even maintaining ur rs production in the playoffs is solid and valuable but ANT is on a different level.
Offensively Ant has been better the last 2 seasons in the playoffs, he's been great. It's myopic to ONLY compare them based on that when debating the op's question. It's a legit debate and that's saying a lot for Ant, Tatum is now a 5 time all-star, 3 time all-NBA guy at 26 years old. Both are superstars. I'd still take Tatum, he really has no holes in his game other than being streaky and he's a legit 6'9 with a wide shoulders and a good wingspan, a prototypical defender. Ant absolutely can surpass him but I don't see it yet, recency bias aside.
myopic?
maybe I misunderstood the OP but I didn't read "surpassede" as in "career wise" or "accolades", obviously he hasn't surpassed Tatum in either but as a player for a playoff series? give me 22 year old ANT over any version of Tatum for a playoff series, that's just my opinion and I thought that was the question the OP has posted, in other words: is ANT better than Tatum and imo - he is..but hey that's just my opinion
Maybe I misunderstood the OP and I'm not calling your opinion dumb or anything. I get it. I disagree and have a different opinion but they are both fantastic players so we could debate it all day and probably not move each other an inch on it. Either way enjoy the playoffs.
