If you think Brunson has the least help, you haven't been watching the Knicks play this postseason. Even when he has had poor games, his teammates are doing the little things to keep them in ball games.

Brunson is taking a ton of shots and making them, but it is a fact that he is doing it against inferior competition thus far.

Can`t agree on that, offensive load = help scoring the basketball, creating - its obvious he has the least help in that department. Much tougher to play when you are the obvious main scorer and playmaker with limited scoring options besides you and the defense shifting their attention to you + him being a shorter player. Almost 37 % usage and offensive BPM of 5.2 - next starter/relevant minutes player has 0.7.

76ers are better than those Pelicans and Suns teams as well, so I don`t understand that conclusion either. Pacers are not a **** team either.

Pacers are a bottom 3 defensive team in the league. You think what Brunson is doing against them (and the Sixers in round 1) is more impressive than Ant avg 30+ against the Suns and the defending champs? Agree to disagree.

The nuggets series is different but gimme Indiana > Philly > Phoenix

All three have been really close. Shai has probably been the most consistent but hasn't had as high highs as the others.

You'll get different answers to this question depending on which stage of round 2 you ask it. All 3 great choices. Maybe better when it's over with. If I have to answer now, probably Brunson's been the most valuable for his team. Knicks are depleted.

Shai 30/8/6/1 on 51% eFG. Steady force.
Brunson 34/4/8/1 on 49% eFG. Heroic carry.
Ant 31/6/6/2 on 62% eFG. :o Magestic performance.
Luka 27/10/9/2 on 46% eFG. Warrior resistance.

Shai and Ant by far. Brunson doesn’t guard anybody.

Brunson is a pylon on defense practically so SGA.

Brunson by far. That sixers team the Knicks handled is vastly underrated and would have likely destroyed the Pelicans / Suns.

Brunson isn't an amazing defender, but he's not a bad defender at all. He is elite at drawing charges, #1 in the league in fact - and this allows him to contribute. He's also very smart and rarely makes obvious mistakes. He's basically average.

Watch Brunson's highlights.

He has mostly open shots.
He would not do the same against the Nuggets.

I picked Edwards.

Lmao have you even watched the games? He quite literally gets all the defensive attention every game. The Knicks don't have a #2 scorer.

Brunson leads the league in And-1s. Explain that.

LMAO Yes. The Pacers defense has looked like crap.

Look how much space that he has, even if he's being covered. No one is contesting well.
His face is to the basket basically the whole time. That's a hell of a lot easier to shut down
than what ANT is doing.

Go ahead and quote me. ANT is the better player next year and if they ever face in the playoffs.

This playoffs PER
Brunson - 23.1
ANT - 25.9

Better sample size? And ANT has been facing defending champions.

Once Embiid went down Brunson was MVP of the Eastern Conference and he's carried that thru and even elevated it further into these playoffs.

Yep, lots of pick and roll, he has a beautiful eurostep, even some fadeaways and Philly definitely
did a better job guarding him closer than Pacers.

He's a great player. But I'm not going to say Anthony Edwards level.

Edwards has shown another level of versatility.

Not to take anything away from Ant but your reductionist and frankly strange way of evaluating these players is just plain wrong.

Save these threads for after the playoffs. Right now, people’s opinion changes game to game basically.
I guarantee Ant would be leading this poll if the poll was created a week ago lol

It's not, until you give something back that has meaning.

PER in the same era among similar players in position/style has significant meaning. It's an important metric.

ANT is more efficient when it comes to his volume.
