Sportsmanship is so easy in the Eastern Conf though. Could he be a good sport if he had to play the several all time great teams in the west 3 or 4 times?

I don't think anybody is trying to be an internet tough guy here. It's more along the lines of: where all all these awards coming from? I don't think anyone has any real beef with them. Just seems like this year there's an award for everything.

The Sportsmanship Award has existed since 1996.

Clutch Player of the Year (2023), Conference Finals MVPs (2022), Social Justice Champion (2021), the Hustle Award (2017), and Teammate of the Year (2013) are the relatively new ones.

I do think there's a level of redundancy have the Teammate of the Year, Sportsman of the Year, Social Justice Champion, and Citizenship Award (since 1975). Four good dude awards seems like a bit much.
