Phil didnt exactly show his genius today, I expect him to make 2 simple adjustments....put Odom on Garnett, and guard Rondo differently..why is Fisher on him so tight? he loves driving and kicking...Mike Brown might be a clown on offense but Phil should follow what Cleveland did.

heh. boston fans don't even know?

i'm guessing cheetah is the south african dude who introduced the celtics players to the concept of "ubuntu".

prior to doc mentioning him, i had simply thought that the celtics were just really into linux.

Yeah, that actually makes perfect sense, that's a good guess.

Yeah, that's the kind of big man I thought Boston were missing off the bench... Pollard when healthy, can do those things, but Brown is better. Came into the ideal situation too.

would be nice if the boston folks could confirm any of it.

my first guess, actually, was that doc was just talking out of his anus, as usual.

So you hope to see me more sloppy? There was no clear cut domination on either side...and while you enjoyed the game which is awesome! ... it was far from an excellent game.

I want my team to play as perfect as possible, but I'll take 4 wins however I can get them. I get your point, but very entertaining game and its a classic or at least it is for me.

Kobe cost the Lakers the game.

Once the Lakers lose the series all this ridiculous Jordan talk will cease.

Bill Simmons posted this Phil Jackson quote about Kobe from the last time they were in the finals vs. Detroit and said its how Boston could win and he was right, the quote could be used to describe tonight exactly. I don't know why he would settle for so many jumpers.

Phil Jackson wrote:"Kobe scored 25, but needed 27 field-goal attempts. Instead of driving to the hoop, Kobe settled for difficult shots with Prince in his face. He simply didn't know how to attack the kid."

Since it directly involves me, why don't you just post directly to me instead? Doing it this way is childish.

And, I don't know it all, nor do I claim to, I just offer my thoughts and knowledge where I have familarity.

As far as Udoka in the Lakers series, Udoka was a factor early in the series, but was not for the latter part, yes. Udoka's series was included in my intent of my post-series post. In general, like I said when we discussed Udoka, Udoka has proven he can play in the NBA.

No, not there because I predicted Spurs in 6... generally, I obviously wasn't good, along with everybody else who predicted the Spurs to win the series.

And, this is irrelevant to what I posted. I think here, you didn't have anything to say that was relevant to that, so you tried to get at me with something that was bad for the Spurs (knowing that I go for them). Trying to deflect the attention away, from predicting right that the Celtics had the edge tonight against your team.

To sum it up, a pointless post.

so u say you're good at predicting, but bringing up a crappy prediction of yours is irrelevant?

A pointless post was you pointing out that you picked Boston to win game 1 at home and claiming "damn I'm good"... Way to go out on a risk there.. Why dont you tell what the spread will be next time Nostradamus? I mean you are damn good and all... (well, with any predictions that dont have to do with the Spurs and probably Kings)

When the Lakers lose you point out how your very broad predictions were right and when they win you are nowhere to be found...

Frankly, I just thought it was funny that you would post how "damn good" you think you are after you were completely wrong about the last series

understood. and I would take any win I get too...

However, one that was obvious in the sense that the Lakers can play some D...and there offense was not in sync. Not so say by any stretch that losing tonight was a good thing. ...but the Lakers have battled tougher games in this series ..and tonight they just came up short.

I see what you are saying and any win is a good win. From the Lakers POV we take alot from this ...going into a hostile garden and staying in the game. The Lakers will take this one on the chin but the aurora of playing in the garden and the hype of game one has subsided and I expect more of the same Laker-Playoff-Basketball-2008.

Boston's big 3 are all clutch players, all able to handle the occasion. Of the Lakers big three it looks like Gasol is very calm and steps up, but Odom and Kobe are very hard to predict.

No they played one of the best defensive teams of all-time. The Lakers are getting that 2004 Pistons defense. Kobe looked like he regressed this game. The Celtics are not the Spurs.

The Lakers lost because of Kobe and the Celtics defense. If they don't win game 2 the series is over.

I don't know about you guys, but I thought the his jump on the stick back jam was more impressive than that potential alley oop jam (even if he got it).

I don't know if I would call KG clutch yet and Kobe is normally clutch, but he did choke his last finals and has been bad vs. Boston this year.

I say Lakers win game 2, then take 2 of 3 at Staples. I'd really wanna say they sweep at home, but i think both teams are too good not to beat the other team on their homecourt at least once. Then Lakers win in 6 or 7. Either way, i think we are in for a very good series. We are lucky to have Celtics-Lakers.

Well you clearly took me too seriously. It was moreso in jest, and considering the magnitude of what it was about, I didn't think it needed any real indication. Rather just being a lesser part of my post.

Didn't predict any spread.

That Nicka wrote:When the Lakers lose you point out how your very broad predictions were right and when they win you are nowhere to be found...

Consistently? No I don't.

And I'm not nowhere to be found, I've posted after almost every game in the playoffs. If anything, if I posted something relative to a prediction before or early into the game, I either forgot about it in my post, or referenced to what I thought would of happened to what did happen.

That Nicka wrote:Frankly, I just thought it was funny that you would post how "damn good" you think you are after you were completely wrong about the last series

Just doesn't have relevance to what I posted. And for you to feel that way, as I explained, wasn't necessary.
