Kobe didn't play that bad in really any part of this game. The Celtics just did a great job making him work. And Vlad cannot guard Paul Pierce. Kobe is going to have to do it. And I am really getting tired of Kevin Garnett taking jumpshots.

That's the crux of the issue. Kobe needs to guard Pierce. I'd rather have Sasha and Farmar guarding Ray Allen than Vlad guarding Pierce.
"I'm sure they'll jump off the bandwagon. Then when we do get back on top, they're going to want to jump back on, and we're going to tell them there's no more room." - Kobe in March of 2005

I'm not going to go look for the numbers, but this has happened at least twice in the playoffs already. Boston quits playing with intensity and it is frustrating.

It is a combination of two things. The Celtics stopped playing defense and the Lakers have a really good offense. A win is a win, but wow this almost feels like a loss to me.

Agreed. Pierce is just stomping on his nuts with no recourse.

LOL, you made it into a Kobe thing on that last possession shot? Are you serious? He was the inbounder so he could get the ball back. Was he supposed to run Sasha down for the ball?

"he didn't want to be the man that missed the last shot."
You're joking right?

I'm talking about Kobe bringing the ball upcourt and having a chance to take the three but passing to Fisher. I can't believe I'm wasting my time defending my opinion to you.

Then why the hell do you say why didn't Kobe take that 3 over 2 people? You sound like a F***ing idiot! especially when he found a wide open fisher for 3! f** off

I know, that was one of the most obvious break-away travels I've ever seen. The most clear reffing mistake of the night by far.

It wouldn't have been a good shot. Fisher got the pass, faked and got a wide open shot. Fisher is pretty clutch himself.

If you think Kobe is afraid of taking clutch shots, then you must be on something.

Do you want his offense to suffer? Because guarding Pierce for 40 minuets will take his legs from him and hurt his offense. The Celtics on the other hand only keep guys on Kobe for 6 to 8 minuets at a time.

Kobe should be afraid of taking clutch shots, his poor game-winning-shot record speaks for itself.

good comeback by the Lakers towards the end. However I wish the Laker fans stop crying about refs because when the things were going in their favor all playoffs long you didn't hear nothing out of them.

At some point in the season I started believing Pierce was the Celtics best player.

Garnett's not doing anything to change this belief.

Personally I think this helps the Celtics more. Losing a big lead shows they can't just assume a game is over. They had a 18 point lead in the 4th against Detroit in game 5 at home and Detroit cut it to 1 before the Celtics won by 4 and then they won the next game on the road.

I actually think the opposite to happen. Look how Kobe got his 3 quick fouls today. Pierce doesn't run through 9 screens the way Allen does (credit to the Celtics).

Of all the players in laker roster, kobe trusts fisher the most and he always know when fisher is open. Its nothing new. Lakers always come back and win in 4th but this time the refs screwed us hard enough.
