Overall Cavs effort wasn't good enough especially the first 3 quarters. I know Allen is out but Cavs badly out rebounded tonight. Even Jrue had as many boards as Mobley.

Yes that's apt description for this "super" (sometimes scrub) team. You can get away with this in the weak Eastern Conference (reg season and playoffs) but they should be more consistent in the NBA Finals (whoever the opponent is).

Good game Cavs fans it was a fun battle I thought. Celtics had a lead all 2nd half but the Cavs were still stressing me out haha. See ya again Monday.

For as good as he is, DM is terrible to watch. He ices his teammates with his style. It’s so predictable and must be relatively easy to defend.

All of above, their teammates understands and even support their need to chuck. No chemistry problem at all. DM's Cavs' teammates? i just don't see it.

If (still) healthy, they are a force to be reckoned with. Easily the best (East) challenge the Celtics will face in this playoffs. But those 40+ minutes averages will come to bite them in the as$, and the wheels will fall off in the ECF.

I agree that the Knicks won't just rollover and will probably push them to 6 games but just winning 4 games seems too farfetched. Robinson/Randle could have exposed the Celtics main weakness which is in the paint.

As for my Cavs, I hoped they found their offense in Boston, but apparently it was an illusion. Mitchell played well again which is a great sign, but role players are supposed to step it up at home. The pressure of expectations can be brutal. Sometimes it's easier when there are no expectations.

It's nice to have Wade back, but he rarely makes a ton of 3s like he did in that one game vs the Celtics this season. His defense is important, though, given Mobley can't always protect the paint.

Shelving Thompson might not had been wise, you can't just put shooters on the floor and hope the shots go in. Thompson is still good at setting screens which free shooters, and some offensive rebounds would have helped. The Cavs playing so small really makes things hard on them.

They would need to do something like plays like the Amare-Nash Suns and beat the Celts up the floor constantly and find the open man, but Mobley sprained his ankle like clockwork and they have never run like that.

But it doesn’t make sense. They’ve been the most consistent team this season. Only lost 20 games total and 4 games by more than 10.

You forgot Brunson, the biggest chucker of all, 27.2 FG per game this playoffs. Though it's harder to notice with his extremely friendly whistle

since you won't hear it from many, if any, Celtics fans, good job Joe Mazzulla. It's impressive how you've been able to withstand losing your 3rd best player to injury, the heart and soul of your team (Smart) and your lone shot blocker (Williams) in the offseason and despite this you're well on your way to reaching the ECF in back to back seasons. This despite supposedly being the worst coach in every series you ever coach in. Keep up the good work!
