Because they had ihart bleeding off of turner most of the game, he hali would just dump the ball inside over and over again, i think they need to trap hali quicker and earlier into the possession. They were doing this early in the game and the knicks went away from it

My point was...just like Pacers fans are probably not feeling great about us being likely to win the rebound battle more decisively in future games...I don't understand why Haliburton scoring less that he likely will in future games, is supposed to make us feel good.

I agree there are many tweaks to be made in this series that will make future games look differently from this one, but both teams have reasons to be optimistic and causes for concern.

I don't think the nba is rigged or refs do it on purpose. However, I do think they have no incentive to be good at their job because there's a lack of accountability. If you woke up today as a ref thinking " I really dont want to make a bad call that would effect the outcome of the game" you would not make this call so confidently.

i remember this too, so many years of being on the bad end of the calls, we finally start getting calls and everyone is upset

I don't think I've seen that before.

NBA badly wants Knicks to proceed as much as possible: East final, NBA final and finally NBA champion. But Knicks has lost lot of respect among NBA community because of all their foul baiting, flopping and referees repeatedly helping them. They might win this way but nobody will respect them.

They made the wrong call. It just so happens this one wasn't reviewable.

You want them to be reviewable? Complain to Adam Silver and wait for a rule change to be implemented.

I thought that offensive foul call on Turner at the end of the game was horrible. Borderline call and you dont call that with 13 seconds left in a one point game. That was terrible. Pacers got screwed on that possession to possibly win the game.

It was a clear foul, not debatable. If anything what should be criticized is not calling those all the time.

As I said in the game thread, I don't think that call gets made in a late game scenario if Donte didn't do a good sell. But he did, and then you can't overturn it because it was a moving screen. I thought he got nailed watching it live and then was like "hee hee hee" on review but it was still a moving screen.

The other ref who had CLEAR view of the incident didn't call it. It was the ref whos view was blocked by Brunson and Nesmith who called it. That ref should never have made the call. He just GUESSED.
