I don't think it's Mobley specific but they really needed Dean Wade in this series to pull whoever we have at PF out. All of their PF options right now are too small so that it may get punished defensively without an obvious offensive upside yet. Will be interesting to see what they do to counter it.

Right now with Isaac back to the bench, the Magic seem willing to let JA/Mobley get some inside shots over WCJ/Moe with less resistance, as long as we're blitzing Mitchell/Garland and not letting Strus get easy open looks. So our 1-4 are able to switch and play aggressive very freely in both lineups now with Isaac unleashed at the 4 and our rebounding being improved a bit too.
jb has been the head coach for 5 seasons and has never figured out an efficient counter to his ball handlers being blitzed; guy is turds.

Locked in on defense. Rode Franz hot hand. I expected them to be better scoring the ball. They really won the first two because Orlando couldn’t buy a shot. Control the defensive glass by limiting Allen, keep playing hood defense and we can easily steal one on the road.

What if Orlando blows out Cleveland in game 5 and they fire JB Bickerstaff after the game?

This guy shoulda been fired years ago.

Dan will have to fire Koby and jb simultaneously bc Koby refuses to let jb go.

Which, i guess i understand. Larry Drew refused to interview for the HC gig after coaching 76 games and then his successor John Beilein quit after coaching 54 games. jb has coached the next 340 games for the Cavs after those 2 guys.

It is the same problem Cleveland had last year in the playoffs. The Cavs consistently have 2 guys you can leave open when they move beyond the paint. That makes it easy to blitz our smaller guards. As Cavs fans we were hoping that Strus instead of Okoro would free things up but clearly that isn't the case.

In the NBA Playoffs you just can't consisnelty play 2 bigs that aren't threats on the perimeter. The fact that Mobley/Allen aren't great offensive rebounders just compounds the issue on the offensive end.

I really like Allen and I really like Mobley but I don't like them together. Mobley is just lost on offense. He sort of floats around the perimeter at times and every now and then he finds himself left all alone in the corner for a 3. Really what the Cavs need to do is move Allen for a comparable 3 and D wing. You can then start Wade at the 4 and move Mobley to the 5. Mobley will take some lumps but he needs to go through that and the Cavs need to find that new identity. If Mobley literally can't play the 5, the Cavs need to work on a trade this offseason to a team that does believe he can play the 5. I personally think he can play the 5, even if the first year or two has some rocky moments.

JB has to go. This is a really talented Cavs team. I know people are mocking them now, but they have some excellent players that are just entering their prime and some really talented players that are a few years away from their prime. They should not be playing like they currently are. I don't care if we win this series, he needs to be fired at the end of the year.

I'm with ya man. We'll see if Dan and/or Koby have it in em or if they're just content to win 44+ regular season games and participate in the post season.

It will be a tough offseason if Cavs end up losing. Mobley/Allen …cant run that back again, can you? Then Mitchell time is running out and something needs to be done there.

Garland/Mobley long term is a good combo … let somebody else try to build a team around them.

Garland is 24 and Mobley is about to be 23 in June, a soft reset based around those two would be perfect.

Thats nice. I too liked Orlando beating overhyped Cleveland in the ECF.

Media loves replaying Lebron's shot over and over even though it didn't matter in the long run.

Too bad the media didn't get what they wanted in that matchup. Gotta play those pesky games.

The whole team played well. All of them locked down defensively. Paolo only scored once but assisted on a bunch of open threes. Franz made an and-1 then hit two FTs. Suggs and WCJ hit their threes. That was when they came back from being down 5 to building a double digit lead over the Cavs. Then Isaac came in with a quick steal+ 3 to put a cherry on top.

True, but even when Orlando lost they did not give up. The Cavs straight up quit when things got tough, don’t know if that means anything but even if they beat the Magic. I wouldn’t want that trait on a real championship level team.
