I read the refs said after the game that if they had seen the heat pack it would've been a technical because it wasn't thrown specifically at someone. I assume the towel throw would've been a technical as well, so that should've been an ejection. Throw in the money gesture for the refs that got Gobert a 100k fine.

I don't think he gets suspended a game but I wouldn't be mad at it. He should get hit with the same fine or more as Gobert for the money sign since this is the playoffs and it's a larger audience.

The NBA has a rulebook with very clear rules. Players who can't abide by those rules should be punished. Players who choose to get ejected, such as Murray, are making that choice during the game.

Rules can be bent for entertainment/quality purposes like how more physical play is allowed during the playoffs. Nothing short of successful assault of a referee or murder of another player on the court should result in suspension (yes that is hyperbole for saying the standards should much higher than this and that none of the previous suspensions in the playoffs have been warranted either).

He should be sidelined a game. You can't throw things on the court. You can't throw things at refs. You can't say disparaging things about referees. You can't make hand signals implying that the refs were paid off.

He did all four; not in a single instance but over the course of a game in separate incidents. In the playoffs. That's not a momentary lapse in judgement. It's a pattern of behavior.

Pathetic. The NBA is a joke when it comes to this. In retrospect Draymond getting suspended for a finals game was a miracle. And if Silver was commissioner for the Malice in the Palice he would have given Artest an indefinites supsension that ended after 20 games.

I hope players start throwing things at Silver's wife just to see if he'll care. I doubt it.

Good decision by Adam Silver. The working man pays his hard earned money to watch the best compete in the playoffs. He doesn't want, nor does he deserve, a watered down product based on trivial things.
