It's also pretty hard to win a series when Kelly Oubre was your third best player.

You don’t trade a superstar who wants to be there. If he starts agitating to leave it’s a different conversation. But teams work for 25 years to get a player of his caliber. You don’t trade that guy unless the situation is completely untenable.

Embiid will only decline from here. Maxey is still young. PHI has no assets to get quality players. It doesn't make sense for Embiid to stay in PHI anymore. It would be better to get some quality assets and reload around Maxey without losing playoff position.

You will never get equitable value for Embiid. The fact is he is always hurt and a player of his size will not have a long prime like Lebron. Trade Embiid, stockpile some assets and build around Maxey.

Smart franchises have already figured out he is a fraud and a regular season only player.
Even in RS he is good for only 40-60 games....
Wait until he is heading to NYK this summer.

He was clearly playing hurt and he still averaged 33 ppg this series. I mean pretty hard to put this on him.

Yeah you're still rolling the dice on an injury prone Embiid, but it's not like they have anything better to do.

Everyone in here is going to want Luka, Jokic, AD, Shai etc lmao but the reality is Joel is a gamble with his health moving forward.
George for Embiid
Draymond/Wiggins for Joel
Durant for Joel
DLo/Reaves/Rui/Vando for Joel
Bam/Robinson for Joel
Lillard for Joel
There's plenty options and teams that would be interested

How many decades of picks are the Lakers adding to that platter of stuff?
