I wonder if his foul baiting hurts him at times. When he can easily just score over a guard, his first instinct is to sweep his arms to try to get a foul. He did that a few times against guys nearly a foot shorter than him right under the rim. Just go finish...it was pretty pathetic seeing a guy his size flail all over the place.

I think it's an interesting question to ask if he is a good candidate to be the 2nd best player on a championship team. Respect his playing well hurt. Absolutely do not respect his dirty play. Everyone deserves forgiveness but he should be ashamed and needs to clean that up, and it is really disappointing that the league didn't do anything.

The Sixers are a super interesting team this offseason because it really seems right on the fringe as to what direction they could go in. If they get a Paul George etc you'd have to keep this team together, but if not, how long do you want to hold the fort before Embiid becomes a declining asset and the difference between Maxey and his timelines becomes an issue?

Although he’s supremely talented, he’s a mentally weak player, extremely dirty and reckless at times, and a clear foul baiter. I’ve lost all respect for him after this series.

I feel like this Sixers era is salvageable but they REALLY need to put everyone not named Embiid or Maxey on the table, and all assets. That or break this thing up.

Sixers seem to have Warrior / Lacob disease where they want to contend and rebuild simultaneously. Doesn't work!

Another year of accomplishing absolutely nothing. The injury excuses can only go so far. If you're always "injured" during the playoffs, what is the point of having you around?

The guy has one sham MVP and absolutely no other accomplishments during his decade in the NBA. Even Trae Young has a Conference Finals to his name.

OP is out of line here. Embiid played fantastic in this series.

Nurse deserves most of the slander here. He couldn’t even shut down 5’10” Jalen Brunson, when Knicks have no second option on offense.

I really thought this would be his year after watching his 70 point masterclass in a meaningless RS game against a tanking Spurs team. Oh well, maybe next year.

While I do agree with most of your points. Embiid is injured. Watch him as the game goes on. He doesn’t have a lot of lift in his legs. Pre injure embiid will take those jump shots.

Just not in the cards for him. He pay pretty well. Hart hit the big shot. Props to him. He did it in game 1 and now in game 6. So the Knicks had hart and Donte hit the big 3 in games 2 and 6. Their role players. Brunson scored points but he didn’t hit the most important shots.

no, it isn't even remotely close. Brunson is 6 feet tall, Embiitch is huge and was supposed to be the MVP - big diff

In the Embiid era, the Sixers are 30-31 in the playoffs when Embiid plays and 5-3 when he doesn't.

You basically admitting smaller guys can sell fouls and you don’t have any issues with it. There are rules in place and it should apply to everyone.

Embiid played pretty well on one leg.
