Feel free to edit the poll and thread title.

That's a better question anyways. Rank those 3 teams...

After seeing how the Wolves are playing vs the Celtics are currently playing, you'd be insane to choose the Celtics. Wolves would win in 5 right now. Tatum is playing like garbage like usual in the playoffs. Career 44% in the playoffs and he's under 42% so far. Dude ain't a playoff performer. Edwards is.

I'd bet on the Wolves at the moment. Last time the celtics were in the finals a couple of years ago they were soft and choked despite being the "better team on paper". Will need to see them first not be soft and choke despite being the most talented team in the finals.

Barring injury, I think this is the Finals showdown and I give Minny a solid chance to win.
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid
** Luka made the WCF without Brunson
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs with Klay

I think it would probably be the most evenly matched and competitive finals possibilities we have. Maybe OKC Boston could match it

Way too early for this thread.

Boston needs to get by Cavs/Pacers/Knicks first. But they are clearly favs to win the East, Most talented and deepest team in the East/

Minn needs to get past the defending champs (Nuggets)/Thunder/Mavs first.

But with this particular matchup? I'd lean TWolves. Best defense in the league and they are deep as well, big, physical and athletic.
Pack the paint, let the Cs continue to launch 3s (live/die by the 3s), Minn will kill the boards (on misses) and clean up on the other end. Esp with Porzingus banged up.

I trust the Wolves defense more than the Celtics 3 point shooting in a series. Celtics are the epitome of live and die by the 3. When Tatum and role players are on fire from 3 they are unbeatable… but when it’s not falling they get ran off floor. It didn’t happen much this season because they are so talented/deep… but vs the Wolves perimeter defenders I don’t see the 3 falling as easily.

How is Boston not hot? They've been hot for pushing 90 games this season.

Boston is currently winning by an average margin of 16 lol. Celtics also played way better in the regular season and rank top 5 in playoff experience

How many conference/nba finals has Ant made? Thanks in advance.

Playoff series wins Ant/JT

(BTW I really don't like Tatum as a player)

Tatum is 26, and has been on super talented teams in the weak East all his career.

Edwards is 22, and so far looking more impressive/determined and more fearless in the playoffs compared to Tatum.

thanks in advance.......

Celtics had the best record when shooting below 30% from 3 this season but hey Stephen A said we live & die by the 3 so it must be true ..

Some of these comments are baffling. Can Minnesota beat the Celtics if they were to match up with them in the finals ? Of course. But for certain people to say they trust a Timberwolves team that just made the second round with this core for the first time over the Celtics because of how they performed in the Finals 2 years ago is insane.

Timberwolves have not experienced any real pressure as of yet. They weren’t expected to win both games in Denver which is why they played with so much confidence. Games 3 & 4 will determine if this Timberwolves team is ready to win a championship. The pressure is on them for the first time.

I agree with people who say it’s still too early to say. We’re over 2.5 series before this matchup could occur. A lot could happen before it.

I do really like how seemingly everyone on the Wolves is playing at a high level right now and their defense is formidable. The Celts also have to count on the health of Porzingis, which is always a shaky thing.

As of now I’d favor the Wolves, but things change. Also, the Celts in 2022 had zero player games of Finals experience where as the Warriors seemingly had a bazillion. It ended up being a factor. Now they have guys with that experience and I think the Wolves are the ones with zero. So anything could happen.

Most games Cs' 1st shot of the game is the 3 ball. Tonite was no different.

Tonite, the CS first shot ......is the 3 ball (missed)....2nd shot of the game,.....3 ball (made).
Just as it was tonite. Very predictable. First C's shot....3 ball.

Miss the 3 ball, grab rebound, instead of a lay up or dunk or mid range.....kick the ball out, swing it around some more, launch another 3 ball. Rinse and repeat.

C's launched nearly 50 threes tonite. GS Warriors of the East.

Pressure is also on these Cs team as well. Paper champs for the past few season and no NBA title since 2008.

Meanwhile this rendition of the Celtics will be battle tested against hobbled Miami, an awful Cavs team and either the injury plagued Knicks or a Pacers team that has no business sniffing a CFs.
