Im not doubting that.

I'm just wondering why he has been in a funk for the past few months. Wemby never seem to hit the rookie wall.

Wemby played 2100 minutes to Chet’s 2400 in the RS. And Chet’s still playing.

If Wemby has SGA as a teammate he would still be playing as well.

Your point?

If it ends up that way, then Chet’s value drops tremendously.

He's clearly getting old and slowing down

I didn't realize anything happened to him.

Had best +/- tonight for OKC and 11, 6, 6, and 2 blocks.

As a rookie in the playoffs.

He's a third option on this team.

That number on the left is lower than that number on the right. Let me know if you need any more help.

Dont think he will shoot 40% from 3 playing power forward.

Chet was fantastic protecting the paint tonight. Got turned over a little too much and missed a few too many 3's tonight, but he was still OKC's second best player.

So you blaming Wemby for Chet falling off the past few months?

That's weird bro. I only brought up Wemby because that was his rival and he never seem to hit a rookie wall. My topic was about Chet to be clear.

He's a rookie playing on a team that has a legit shot to make the Finals. View him like you viewed Taysean Prince and Rajon Rondo. He's going to have games and moments that make you go "Damn this kid can play," but ultimately this moment is more about the guys on his team that are going to have the ball in their hands most of the game, Shai and Williams.

They could have had Lively or Gafford, they were involved in a trade with Dallas on both but got neither. Thank god because then they'd probably be unstoppable.

Cason is definitely going to be more important for OKC than Lively would’ve been as a non shooter.

Gafford though…

Chet is going to take beatings over the years as the primary rim protector to where his health might be effected because of it. If Lively was there to help it's a good thing. You have enough shooters.

Media and fans, say at least realGM, has glorified him as a top level player and compared his rookie season with some other greats such as Tim Duncan. The thing is when you are 3rd or 4th option offensively and playing alongside one of the best offensive players ever, you will likely have a less attention from opposing defenses, thus you can have a good efficiency.

Yes, he was really impactful for OKC in his role, but many times I read "he averaged this as a rookie thus he would be way better soon, just like this great player in history"... I don't think so, because it'd require a drastic chance in his offensive role, and I don't see him he would be an impactful as a Robin to SGA, compared to his current role...

At this point, (and possibly moving forward) he's more of a Tayshaun than Duncan. And there's nothing wrong with that.

OP, I think you're a solid poster outside of your OKC takes, but your sourness for OKC is hilarious lol. It's weirdly petty and I can think of several regular season games where you had similar level takes. One I remember off the top of my head is saying OKC is a "cute team" but "years away from contention" after Denver beat them in a RS game this season. I take solace in the fact that your takes on OKC haven't aged well.

Pairing him with another big would do wonders for him. Just not sure how you do that in the modern NBA.

He's ironically the ideal running mate to Wemby.

How hasn’t that aged well? The Thunder are in the second round of the playoffs, against Luka one leg and just lost home court advantage. I see them winning it all without some time and potentially roster adjustments.

Thought OKC fans would take a different approach after what happened with their last more talented team.

I have to think it’s the result of watching a team be in the playoffs for years and tear down and rebuild back into an another contender all during the Hornets’ perpetual rebuild.
