If Orlando gets Paul George next season, then Franz will play SG all season.

Cavs fans may not want to hear this but for Mobley's own personal development, it might be best if Donovan Mitchel leaves.

If Cav fans are against that idea then you must not think his ceiling is really high.

Yes Mitchell is smaller yes, which is significant and caps his ceiling as a slasher and defender relative to Wade, less athletic arguable but ok, probably a bit worse as a passer, but the guy's also like a Dame level shooter, or at least close lmao.

And for someone that gets diminshed as much as he does, he's largely been really good historically in the playoffs, i just dont get it honestly

So you think if you put Mitchell on the 2006 Heat, he could have done what Wade did or come close?

Hes a top 10-15 player inl right now. So, yes. Probably doesnt beat Dallas, but i dont think he's just some glorified all-star lol

Mitchell is not a top 10 player by any stretch. Top 15 is questionable, but he's comfortably top 20. Wade was a top 5 player and for a couple of seasons top 3, the gap between a guy who is solidly top 5 to one who is solidly top 15-20, is massive.

Defensively, it was Wagner.

Yeah. Let's also not forget that Gary Harris, while offensively challenged, was playing excellent defense at the 2 spot before getting hurt.

Orlando would give them like 4 1st-round picks.

Mitchell would have to share the ball a lot more than I believe he's capable of doing. Let him go to Brooklyn, ballhog and be mid.

Not sure what the Cavs will do for game 7. That's about a good of a Mitchell game as it gets. Yes Garland has been awful this series but this was a great game for him short of disappearing from the 4th and forgetting to dribble the ball up the line. Cavs really need for everyone else to step up.

Box score shows Allen as a DNP - Coaches Decision. Is that right or was he injured?

Mitchell took a ton of difficult shots tonight and still shot 61% from the field on 36 attempts :o

If Mobley is going to be a black hole on offense, he cant commit stupid fouls on defense. He had some nice defensive plays, but overall a bad game for him.

Playing Mitchell and Garland that much was stupid. Now we have a quick turn back to Cleveland...I think we probably lose Sunday and blow this thing up. Id keep Garland and Allen, trade Mobley and Mitchell to maximize a return (this is also assuming Mitchell doesn't want to re-sign which, if we lose Sunday is a lock IMO)

Rib injury. He's missed the last two games.

He is injured, got an elbow to the ribs, and hasn't been able to breathe right since.

I dont really agree with any of that, but ok

I mean, if you're insinuating they should just let him walk. It's absolutely one of the most absurd things I've ever get heard. Or a trade for pennies on a dollar absurd in every way. Now, if they can get a lateral package for him, I might be inclined to agree, but it needs to be a hell of a package or else they might as well blow it up.

CLE rushed their rebuild for no reason. They were a playoff team before Spida, why did trade for him? He doesn't fit their timeline at all. Mobley, Garland and Allen don't look ready for playoff basketball

Mitchell and Mobley just aren't going to work going forward. I've never seen a more "empty calorie" 50 points game. Absolutely no impact on the game. But that's what Mitchell gives you: empty calories.

Mitchell has stunted both Garland and Mobley.

The good thing is, once Mitchell doesn't extend this summer (again) just trade him.

Garland just turned 24 and Mobley will be 23 next month. They have several years before their primes and will both be on long term deals.
