If we just get one more piece we might just be able to beat... I dunno, some mythical team out there that is better than all these teams we're beating :D

The Knicks have such a solid roster. Strong backups at point guard and center. 3 solid wings who can all defend.

it's a well balanced roster.

the only square peg is sadly obi, they need a high 3pt shooter taking shots and unless he improves(which he has this year to his credit), there's not much of a role for him.

We need to somehow draft Taylor Hendricks.

They have a really good Quartet of Randle, Brunson, Barrett and Quickley. Not many teams have a top 4 that good.

I would argue that Robinson and Hart are just as valuable as Barrett and Quickley. Its really a core 6. And Grimes has shown flashes.

It was a great game. Quickly played out of his mind, especially in the second OT

Beating the Celtics in Boston without Brunson, that's quality
** Luka made The Finals without Brunson
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs with Klay

Mavs would comfortably win a playoff series vs Knicks...Luka is a different animal in playoffs

I doubt it would be "comfortably" since if that matchup were to happen, the Knicks would have had to beat both 2 of the 3 teams (Celtics, Bucks, or Philly) just to get out of the Eastern Conference.

Highly doubt it'd be comfortable at all. Right now, Dallas isn't that good of a basketball team. No D, two ball dominant guards that haven't had much time to play together. I'd actually take NY in a 7 game series against the Mavericks right now.

That being said, this all doesn't change the fact that it's been 50 years since NY have won a championship and for a franchise that pushes the narrative that the "NBA" is better when the Knicks are winning, well, that narrative is weak AF when they've done sweet F all in 50 years besides a cup of coffee with the EC championship over 20 years ago and a small playoff push after they signed the Mavs 2011 championship team a decade ago. We all get it, their fans are excited that they've won a couple of games and are currently sitting in the playoff picture. But for Christ sake, actually win something come playoff time NY.

Happy for them. Their lack of attention to drafting a lead guard has really screwed them for years, so very happy Brunson worked out so well. I thought he’d at least lead them in the right direction considering their ineptitude paying attention to that detail and make a positive impact. But Brunson’s been amazing and happy that they got a signing whose value is so high. Hart is awesome but too. Too bad they didn’t get Bridges over Knox years ago because these Nova boys know how to play winning ball.

Quickly and Tyus Jones need to fire their agents...both could be starters elsewhere and get paid

I'll say this, I really don't want them to have home court advantage if they face the Cavs in the first round. They get a friendly whistle in the garden and it matters.
