Wow New Orleans spanked the Spurs the same way every big man in the NBA spanks Amare's defense.

Sorry BJ... I couldn't resist...

But maybe the Spurs will trade for Gerald Green now ='x! They almost traded for JR Smith last year.

The Clippers-Grizzlies game was better than I expected. Too bad Cassell threw an air ball to lose the game.

@ Harlem: Paul is complaining because that's what he always does. I love CP3's game but he argues with the refs way too much.

You're starting to piss me off with whining about EVERY TEAM BUT THE NETS.

Tim Thomas continues to play in late game situations. But why? Turnovers, offensive fouls, taking early shots instead of running the clock down; this guy does it all.

One of the things that makes the Hornets so tough to beat is they have so many different weapons on offense. David West led the way tonight, but sometimes his game is off, and it will be Peja raining 3's down to lead the way, or Tyson Chandler dropping 20 off pick and roll alley-oops and offensive rebounds, or Chris Paul just taking over and scoring himself.

It's almost a matter of pick your poison. If teams focus on shutting down CP3, he draws the D, and then dishes to an open teammate. If the D stays on their man, and doesn't double, Paul scores himself. If they try to shut down the 3 point shooters, the middle is clear for Chandler to get an alley-oop, if the middle is clogged, well you get the idea.

Hornets are taking what the D gives them, and their starting 5 is talented enough to capitalize from anywhere on the court.

Rudy Gay impressive again.

I know it's still early in his career, and if he had gone to the Rockets he wouldn't be putting up the same numbers he is now, but Gay playing alongside Yao and T-Mac is a scary thought indeed.

Other thoughts from the night:

Kyle Lowry, when he gets consistent time, looks just as good as Conley. I think the team chose to start Conley, at least partially, because he was the #4 pick and much higher profile.

Heat finally win. Mark Blount is the worst rebounding center in the league right now, and that's saying a lot with Eddy Curry playing.

New Orleans is playing GREAT basketball right now. Just clicking on all cylinders. And if they stay healthy they should be at this level for awhile. Stojakovic is the oldest key player, and he's only 30.

Are spur games the lowest free throws taken game in the league?

Great win by the Hornets, not surprised they won, but it was how they won. My only concerns for New Orleans are their emphasized injury concenrs, and their bench is not that solid.

That said, I think the Spurs will have a decent rodeo trip.

Also what a game by Iguodala against the Cats... 23 points in the 2nd half. Gotta love how he's improved his shot.

why do people bring up injuries for every team on top? injuries to any star player will hurt a team. but why bring it up? they've delt with it already this season, and didn't go through a losing streak.

if the spurs lost td for a month, they are in big trouble, if baron davis is out for a month, big trouble, chauncey - big trouble

you can say that about every team. the bench has been solid for two weeks now. tyson had some foul trouble, and they couldn't score enough in the second quarter, but neither could the spurs for that matter - choke it up to defense on both sides.

but since david west was on fire, i think every hornet thought, lets get it into his hands each possession - turned into a blowout! the bench was hustling though!

First of all to all the Hornets fans out there... Gather your best hater comments before you read this post...

Now read this:

The Hornets bench sucks. They're:

Ranked LAST in ppg
Ranked LAST in fiel goal %
Ranked 26th in rpg

Ranked 19th in opponents ppg
Ranked 14th in opponents field goal %
Ranked 21st in opponents rpg

Okay maybe sucks was an overstatement on my part, and a more accurate statement would be that: The Hornets bench sucks badly at offense.

Defensively they're average.
