Yeah, everyone who were not serious contenders themselves. That the Cavs didn't want to face the Sixers doesn't mean they were some super team. It just means they were tougher than the alternative (e.g., Miami, Chicago, Atlanta). After Boston (who had no way of ducking the Sixers or frankly a reason to), the next five teams with the best odds were teams in the West. Even the Clippers whose theoretical path to glory involved Dallas-OKC-Denver-Boston had higher odds than the Sixers. Sixers were just not considered a great contender heading into the playoffs.

How much different is Bruson versus ITs breakout year. Sustained years = Superstar to me. 1 season and fringe 2 doesn't really get there. People often crown superstar too easy but there is really only 5-7 at most.

Someone like Lebron basically gets it now due to his superstardom but that's rare.

well when you see a see a guy do it for 3 straight playoffs, 2 straight seasons as a go to guy i’d say at that point you’re a superstar.. especially when you preform in the playoffs. a lot of guys play well in the regular season but then strink when the lights get bright.. that not brunson. he’s steps up. imo that’s what a superstar is

Can’t forget the Bucks, who were absolutely considered a contender. They ducked the matchup too.

The Sixers were considered a contender at a point in the season. Being a play-in team and having to face a top 2 team is what caused their odds to tank. If they managed to be a 6th seed, their odds would be higher than a lot of teams out West. Again, we’re talking about a team with last year’s MVP and the MIP who was averaging 26ppg.

I would have loved to see Jalen and Luka together but check this ONE stat

Shots per game -

Luka and Jalen would be at about 55-60 shots per game - these are not efficient men - they get shots UP.

Kyrie in his Yoda Mode helping a young Luka skywalker develop into a true Jedi…. Or Sith Lord -

Kyrie only scores when needed and defers to allow Luka to Slay at will…
