He will have a good shot at MVP once the Mavericks can lock up a top 3 seed which is bound to happen at least once while he's under contract. As for a ring, as long as he can stay healthy his teams will always be competitive.

So many of yall are desperate for a Luka ring chasing narrative. He is 25, has had some playoff success already, has a contending roster with a future HOFer next to him - the crux of the team locked in for next season (and the one after), & his contract runs for another 2-3 seasons. He is also close with Dirk Nowitzki, who passed the torch to him. Maybe let's put this narrative to bed for now.

Jokic win a MVP when his team was 6th seed.

This season was his best shot at winning MVP. How rare it is for a player to be #1 in PPG, #2 in assists and top 15 in rebounds in whole of NBA? And he improved his team from missing playoffs to top 5 seed. This is definitely MVP worthy. But he only got 4 1st places votes :x For some reason voters just ignore his stats; he is not on radar. And with Ant and Wemby coming up, it might remain like this.

Exactly.
He would need a season where he would be 10 times better than guys like SGA, Antman or Wemby and where his team would have a far better record than every other team.....highly unlikely.
In fact, at this rate, he has far more chances to win a few rings than to win a RS MVP.

Luka and Jokic together wouldn't win jack squat. It's like you guys just look at box score numbers and don't watch the games. Their skills overlap and don't hide their weaknesses.

True, Luka would be great in a team like San Antonio where he could play Point Guard for Wemby.

Wemby would be a great def defensive teammate for him and Luka could feed Wemby all game if needed

Needs Option 5: No. He will never win MVP & ring.
Don’t make it personal, don’t take it personal.

Sellers don’t set market value. Buyers don’t set market value.
Market value only exists when two (or more) parties are in agreement.

I agree, but for whatever reason the voters didn't give Luka much time this year. I believe they will make good on that next season or a future season sort of like how this season always felt like it was going to be Jokic because he should have got it last year. Weird logic I know, the voting doesn't make much sense to me.

He just turned 25 years old. Just now entering his prime years. Maybe we should let it play out a little.
