Hawks have been superathletic and scary to go against for years now.

Looks like they are finally figuring it out. I'm not sure how much is the addition Bibby ... I think it is more the guys maturing and trusting each other.

Will be interesting to see how the Celtics respond in these next few games.

Actually the Kings lost by 9 in G5, and then got beat significantly in G6 (Artest and Bonzi both tweaked their ankles early in that game).

Meh.. The Kings almost won game 2 at SA if not for a lucky Brent Barry shot + Ron Artest getting suspended for doing nothing. Of course, they got blown out in game 5 and 6, but the Kings had a real chance to win that series, IMO.

Given that our starting PG prior to Bibby was Anthony Johnson, Bibby helps but it is definitely more about the impact of Josh Smith and Al Horford. JJ has been an All-Star talent the last few years and he is getting the support he needs now.

I wouldn't bet on the Hawks in Game 5 but you could have won some serious money on this thread judging by the 47% of people who thought this would go even 5 games.

The Hawks played a great game. They really outplayed the celtics the last two games. You have to love their desire to win and play hard after losing the first two games.

Great job Hawks

P.S.
Josh Smiths rebound over KG in the last minute that sent him to the line was ridiculous. Just one of those WOW plays.

Looking at the box scores, and the +/- for this game, I think it speaks volumes for the celtics

KG +7
Pierce +3

Everyone else has a negative including Rondo with -9, and Allen with -8.

Boston better bring it next game.

Funny stuff on the Celtics board. An entire thread on how Eddie House is the answer and needs more PT. This team has 3 all-stars and won 66 games this year. If Eddie House is the answer, the Celtics are in big trouble. PJ Brown as well, lol.

The Celtics would have won if KG had half the swagger of Zaza.

All I have to say is I hope Joe has the decency to send flowers to Mrs. Powe.

I think I'm rooting for the Hawks the rest of the way, not because I like the Hawks, but because the Celtics and the Boston sports media are so full of themselves. Besides, bad coaches should get exactly what they deserve. So Tony Allen gets a DNP on a night when Joe Johnson is destroying them? So Glenn Davis sits the entire second half while the Hawks dominate the Celtics on the glass?

EVERYBODY beats Doc Rivers in the playoffs, and the Hawks are no exception.

Heck, imagine if the Celts still had Joe Johnson. Atleast the Suns have Diaw (who won game 4 for them and held the fort when Amare got hurt) and a top 20 pick. The Celts just have the ghost of Tony Delk.

Still, Joe would never have blossumed into the player he is now in Phoenix. With Nash and Amare getting all the touches they need, he would have just remained a jump shooter. Good for Joe (and the Hawks) for tonight. I also like how Bibby has played (as a UofA guy).

It doesn't feel quite so bad to be a Pistons fan today. Thank you Atlanta.

We are accepting all bandwagon/Celtic haters as fans. What a great moment for an organization and fan base that has been through hell and back this decade.

Even if we get blown out the next two games this has been a great few days for a very young and inexperienced team. I'm still amazed at how they took those two beatings in Boston and came back like they never happened. That makes me think they're mentally tougher (not to mention physically) and this run may not be over yet.

for going over and making a hand gesture to the Hawks bench, after Horford stood over him and forcefully talked to Pierce, after a shot
