Most ATGs had number 3 on their jerseys. MJ, LBJ, KAJ, Wilt, Magic, Bird, Shaq, Hakeem (that's eight out of many people's top 10), Steph, KD, Karl Malone, Wade, Barkley, Pippen, AI, Nash, Ewing, McHale, Ray Allen, Reggie, Giannis, CP3, Harden... All of them wore a number including 3 for at least a few years.

In 2016, Stephen Curry won his second consecutive MVP.

He also finished 4th in the "Most Improved Player" voting.

I feel pretty confident that will never happen again.

Probably not the greatest contribution but PJ tucker basicly entered the nba @ 27, and is still going strong @ 37. Had one of his better statistical seasons last year.

Similarly, Manu Ginobili entered the NBA at 25. I figured he'd have a relatively short career in the league.

Dude wound up playing 16 seasons, LOL.

Incorrect. They've won a playoff SERIES more recently than the Kings by beating them in 2005 in the 1st round.

However, that was the last time they ever made the playoffs. The Kings made the playoffs in 2006 and won 2 games in a 1st round loss to the Spurs.

This one was crazy. So rare to see an MVP have such a huge scoring increase the following season lol. He also played the fewest MPG of any scoring champ which made it even more impressive.

If you add up all the last number of these stats, 6 + 6 + 6 = illuminati confirmed.

Martell had one of the prettiest shots ever! A shame he could never stay healthy.

The Sixers have won more playoff series than the Celtics only twice in the last 40 postseasons.

(That would be the recent one and the Iverson Finals run. The last one before that was the "Beat LA" year, which was 1982.)

I'm searching for a great thread on here about very odd box scores (teams and individual player stat lines that were strange or abnormal) that was posted several years ago but I can't find it. Does anybody have that thread pinned or saved?

For example,

the Mavs-Clippers game today got me thinking about historic comebacks and odd box scores.

Check this one out from 1972- Buffalo set the record for most points scored in a quarter (they outscored Boston 58-23 in the 4th- but still lost by 8!)

True. Since the Philly Warriors moved to SF/Oakland ( early 1960s) and the Royals moved to Sacramento (1985) .
Rochester/ Cincy Royals moved to KC (changed to Kings) during the '70s. Before changing to the Kings.

During the '80s, both of them stunk for the most part (GSW had a few good playoff teams late '80s, early '90s) . Also during the '90s, they both were some of the worst teams in the league. Until the late '90s when the young Kings turned it around and became an elite team in the West (late '90s -mid '00s) while the Warriors stunk until '07 and '08. But, GSW didn't get good until the mid '10s That's wehn the Kings were in a rebuild until last season.

Last season, 1st time in a long time, that they were both good at the same time. Faced each other in the playoffs (GSW won in 7) and also this season in the play in (Kings won).
