I think Durants days as being the best player are over. I know people don't realize it, but if you pay close attention to KD he has been a step slower after his achilles injury. His handle has also been less fluid. He got ripped so many times in the playoffs. That explains why he has no moved to pf full time. We have seen the best of KD. Don't expect him to be in the conversation for MVP's at this stage of his career.

Booker is the best player on the Suns.

Steph Curry is done winning anything, he's 35 and their is too much competition with luka, giannis, embiid, tatum, and jokic

Chet, Flagg are good dark horses…I’ll add one more in Fox if he can take another step.

With Chet and Flagg you'd have to be betting no American wins it for the next 4-5 years at least

If the Celtics hold it together in ball movement and defense without Marcus Smart, Tatum could get a lot of the credit.

So if he has MVP numbers, he has a good chance of actually winning MVP.

Well, the last 5 MVPs have gone to non-Americans

Before that, Americans went 58/62 going back to 1955. Thought that was interesting.

I'm biased but Ant Edwards will hopefully be in the mix at some point soon.

Yeah. Prime Jokic, Giannis and Luka are going to win either all or most of the next 4-5. Maybe someone slips in, I wouldn’t bet on it though. And by then perhaps we’re in the VW era.

Booker would be a weak MVP, but you are considering Chet Holmgren who hasn't even played a second in the NBA?

If Phoenix clinches the #1 seed and Durant plays > 72 games, he'll win it. Same for Steph and the Warriors.

Can’t see an American winning it for at least another 3 years to be honest.

I think Tatum has a decent chance to win it next year. I would have Jokic and Luka ahead of him on the list, but Tatum probably with the 3rd best chances. Should Jokic have a slow start to the season due to the partying in Serbia (although he still seemed to be in good shape in the videos) and should there be some chaos in Dallas (can never be ruled out), Tatum has a good chance to be the early MVP frontrunner. And the Celtics are like a clockwork in the regular season and could easily finish first in the East.

Lakers and Suns have a similar issue here in that their top two guys will split the vote if the teams are doing really well.
