He's put on a random east play-in level team, or an equally mid equivalent.

Where does he rank on the best players list?

Number 1

If 2003 TD play in today’s game. He is still the best player in the league.

Tim Duncan was on the all defensive team 15 times and on the first team 8 times. Jokic has never had the honor.

Duncan saw early versions of the pace and space style (Nash suns and Lebron heat) and he was awesome. He would do just fine in today’s NBA.

I’m with you bro, I’ve been hyping Duncan as much as anyone in the LeBron thread but when it comes to yearly or short term peaks like this Jokic is on the GOAT 3 year heater

Put a prime Duncan in any era and any style of play and he’s probably at worst the 3rd best player in the league in any given year.

In this current year, I would have him at #1

You put him on the Heat, 76ers or Hawks? Each one of those teams wins a title the next year with Timmy. The Heat would have a dynasty.

With how sweet of a mid range game Duncan had, there is absolutely no reason that would not have extended to the three point line. Factor in his passing and defense, he would be amazing in any era.

Probably the best player on earth and pushing the hell
Out of jokic cause he was better defensively -

Damn and if Jokic, Duncan, Kawhi and SGA the faces of one league we would officially have no drama, no bs and the basketball league that KD and Kyrie always whining about - a league where basketball rules and no one talked about anything but on the court basketball- no politics no crazy club crap no fights no conditioning issues - just ball-

No commercials either lol

The tough part for Duncan would be that he'd have to admit he's a center.

Big Duncan fan but I have doubts about whether he could extend his range. He also wasn’t a great mid range player or free throw shooter. Good thing is it wouldn’t be needed.

It’s hard to settle on a precise number, but almost certainly ahead of Tyus Jones

I think he's exactly where he was during his playing days. Top 5

Was David Robinson still elite when the Spurs drafted Duncan?

Feels like that duo gets overlooked.

It’s funny because earlier on he was better offensively yet post 2010 Spurs had a more modernistic approach.

Still would comfortably be top 3 along with Jokic/Giannis.

Just play spread action highly recommend a 3/4 that can playmake and shoot and your cooking as guard play there’s a ton of now.

Toronto if Duncan started would be awesome.

I wouldn’t Duncan is great no doubt about it.

Jokic is literally broken op on offence.
