The mavs played harden as a driver as if they had Gobert in the paint with Lively and Gafford off and Maxi at the 5 who never stepped up once to contest. They gave harden the same coverage to score the easiest buckets of the night like 7 times in the fourth It was laughable coaching that lost a hard fought come back.

It was insane to watch. I wonder if post-game there will be some nuggets that maybe explain what they were doing. PJ Washington didn't have to defend him that far out and that close. It felt he got beat too easily, as if he was expecting to drive Harden to another defender. Thing is... as you say... it was so many times that an adjustment would have been made.

How did the Clippers blow a 30 point lead again if scoring was that easy? These games are crazy.

Mavs fans are quite upset with Kidd obviously for that Harden stuff in particular/not playing Lively/Gafford in the 4th.

How can Luka be out of shape? I thought everyone was saying he’s been in good shape all season?

He's not. If you can play 45 minutes of playoff basketball at a high level being the primary option on offense and not being a complete turnstile on defense you're in pretty great shape, better than the majority of NBA players.

People just say Luka is out of shape because he's not cut like a bodybuilder, but like the results speak for themselves. He's exerting more energy than most players do and he's still got gas left in the tank at the end of the game. The conditioning isn't a problem.

The amount of fouls definitely reflected the physicality too. Coffey was the only Clipper to play who had fewer than 3 fouls

Yeah those Harden baskets were way to easy and an absolute joke.

And the coach just stood there and let it happen all 4th quarter. I honestly think any random realgm poster is smarter now because it's just common sense.

He was afraid to put Lively in the 4th quarter, which killed them. Maxi's defense was pathetic in the 4th quarter. Rookie or not, Lively was balling and should have gotten more time

Did you even watch the game tonight? Luka was bent over with his hands on his knees for huge chunks of time, face bright red, and he was being hunted relentlessly on the defensive end.

He absolutely gassed out there. It was extremely obvious and it cost them this game in clutch time.

On Mavs radio they pointed out that the Clips were iso-ing Harden on 5-foul Luka down the stretch via screens to get the switch.

I think Harden scored three straight times with that setup. Then Kidd took a timeout to change it up. But still no rim protector.

Harden had something like 13 points in the last 5 minutes of the game. George had like 4. And 10 of those Harden points came on baskets within 10 feet or less.

It is what it is.

And I'm not talking about his knee, or his bad percentages... we're talking about a solid MVP candidate... he asked me how he manages to be fat/out of shape even during the season, does he care so little? physically worse than the towel shaker M.Morris...it's embarrassing...and someone who is a die-hard fan of Luka tells you...it's embarrassing...we'll leave for another day how desperate it is to see him protest and make fuss every play, It's time to grow up friend...God gives bread to those who have no teeth...if he were a professional athlete he would literally be the MVP
