Their GM should be fired.

Probably one of the worst contracts in the history of sports, and KD lobbied for it.

Imagine trading for Beal. A guy who’s done nothing in his career and a guy who has a no trade clause lol

Even if the swaps convert (they may or may not) that doesn't mean that the Suns don't have a first round pick.

There's kind of a big difference between "you don't have a first round pick for the next 6 years" and "you've got 3 first round picks in the next 6 years, including one in two months - and the other first picks could potentially be lower".

But it heavily hurts your ability to rebuild properly. Just go ask the Nets.

By the time the Suns actually rebuild and get bad, you would guess the Wizards will be on their way up. I would guess that Wizards get at least few of those swaps from the Suns in 2028 and 2030 but who knows.

Ofcourse, it still hurts but there's still a big difference between you don't have a first pick and you actually have 4 first round picks.

People also mean that in the sense that you can't trade any of those picks either. The Suns literally have 0 assets and no path for improvement to go from a team that got swept to becoming a champion.

LeBron is at worst the second best player of all time (really is the GOAT tho) so nobody has to worry about his legacy. KD doesn’t belong in the same breath as Bron and that’s not a hot take.

Sounds like LeBronto did a number on u lol

Nah... just a Jordan Stan lol.

Fair enough lol

The it's still wrong, because the suns can trade their 2024 and 2031 picks if they wanted to. The other picks can be traded on draft night.

Regardless, that's not what I was responding to. The statement was the suns don't have a pick until 2030, when in fact they have 4 pick including the 2030 pick.

Also, the "no path for improvement" arguments is literally what people were writing here on Realgm about the Wolves and Mavericks 12 months ago.

Oof this piece from shams:

On this night, Suns players weren’t buying it. The outburst seemed forced and out of character in their eyes. It continued at the next day’s shootaround in Los Angeles, Vogel tearing into the Suns before that night’s road win over the Clippers. Vogel’s eruption left players rolling their eyes, sources briefed on the matter told The Athletic. One player even told The Athletic he had to keep from laughing.

Meanwhile, Durant, among the best scorers in NBA history, was not always happy with how he was used. Sources briefed on the matter told The Athletic that Durant never felt comfortable with his role in Phoenix’s offense alongside Booker and Beal this season. Those sources said Durant had persistent issues with the offense, feeling that he was being relegated to the corner far too often and not having the proper designs to play to his strengths as the offense was built around pick-and-rolls. At the same time, some teammates and people close to the organization believed Durant needed to voice his concerns more adamantly and directly with Vogel and his coaching staff.

But the buck stops at the head coach, and for the second offseason in a row, sources briefed on the situation told The Athletic that Phoenix will take a hard look at making a full coaching change or, at the very least, discuss adjustments to Vogel’s staff. General manager James Jones, however, is expected to continue overseeing team-building for the Suns, those sources said.

KDs legacy takes another massive blow. Will forever be known as the guy that had to join a championship team to win but couldn’t do **** on his own…translation: bus rider.

I only caught the last 7 minutes or so of the game but from what I saw I couldn’t even tell KD was on the floor. I don’t like Book but at least it seemed like he was trying not to get swept. KD seemed checked out.

KD was already making plans to get the Wolves GM on the phone to get a trade...

thats a big harsh and Lebron is not getting 6 titles, in fact he would be lucky to win 2 titles in that run. If KD never joined warriors then it would not have been this universe and warriors would still be the favorite to win in 16.

You mean 2017? And no they woldnt have

The 2017 Cavs were even better than the 2016 Cavs

I think they would have beat the 2017 Spurs or 2017 GS without KD. Who knows maybe OKC would have made a different move, but I think we were going to win

I assume Kyrie is staying in 2017-2018 if we win in 2017. And if he still wants out for some reason or say we lose in 2017, I bet the trade is either different or we use the pick to go all in if there isn't a monster team in GS

Maybe it's just the Twolves are that good. They shutdown everything the Suns trying to do, Ant was best I ever seen him played and different players step up all series.

Been saying it over and over again. This summer Team USA is gonna be all about Ant. No way he goes to practice against all these old guys and thinks its a good idea to let them run the show. Steph and LeBron are about to get the Bird/Magic Dream Team treatment.
