Nuggets played soft today. And Jokic had a lot to do with that. I've always thought his biggest weakness is passivity.

14 assists equals a passive Jokic which is a lot better than him going beast mode scoring 50pts on AD

I think there have been times when Jokic is super aggressive early a times where he isn’t, and the unpredictability of it all makes him even more confounding to deal with. But he has been passive to start these last three games desperately trying to get Murray going but I think aggressive Jokic needs to be out to start game 5. Lakers have been counting their blessings every time a possession ends with the ball in Murray’s hands. Jokic just needs to throw a new look at them.

Nuggets will still close this one pretty convincingly if they play with some energy. But I do genuinely think they don’t have answers to some of the Lakers sets, particularly the actions that allow one of LBJ/AD to receive the ball coming downhill without Gordon already there. They wouldnt have lost this game if they had actually solved the Lakers tactically.

It’s a 4 game sample size now of LA being very efficient offensively when utilizing AD in ball screens and making Jokic choose.

You could maybe call it statpadding against any other team but vs Denver? No way, as we’ve seen a 10 point lead is basically a 2 point lead. The Lakers needed every last one of his buckets down the stretch to keep the game out of panic territory.

Losing a lead equals chocking, scoring in the 4th quarter whilst leading equals statpadding. That's their analysis. Actual brainrot. In reality, LeBron put away one of the best closing teams in recent memory, matching them basket for basket. That's should give him nothing but praise as an almost 40 y/o man, but nope, no can do.
