Most likely to come back from 0-2 hole and win series?

Post#1 » by BrooklynDynasty » Wed Apr 24, 2024 2:50 pm

IMO

I think Sixers are actually even odds to win, if not favorites

Suns I think tie it up and then it's best of three

Lakers... maybe steal one but Cancun is calling

Magic fans can start reading draft profiles, this one is beyond over, they'll be lucky to win a game

Suns look DOA, Lakers will make it a series but still lose IMO, I had to look up who the Magic were even playing lol.

Sixers it is... although I'm pulling for you NY.

I’d actually be surprised if the sixers don’t comeback.

Maybe the Suns or Magic because Minny & Cleveland are inexperienced enough to crumble on the road? Don't really see any of these series getting turned around TBH.

In what world would Philly be even money, let alone favorites, to win 4 of the next 5 games? If you think so you can make some real money, as the 76ers are +370 to win the series, while the Knicks are -520.

From most to least:

Sixers (just off the strength of Embiid and their close games vs NY so far)

Gap

Suns (a talent bet, as well as the fact that they beat Minny 3 times in the regular season, a hope that KD Booker and Beal can go off)

Big gap

Magic (I have very low hopes for this)

Gigantic gap

LA (the only way this happens is if Jokic gets injured)

Lakers have a dozen moral victories in a row and Ham hasn’t even shown his full hand on containing Jokic. It’s over for Denver

Sixers just by virtue of having a more talented 1 and 2 compared to the knicks.

But I still think the knicks will win. Thibs has them playing amazing basketball and Brunson is that dude

Lol Suns will win the series just like they sweep them during the regular season with ease and you know it. No way the Sixers will beat Villanova um I mean the Knicks unless this guy was playing and last I check, he's out.

Sixers slim to none and Lakers no chance. Seems like I am the only one who understands match ups.

Same. They seemed to be pretty locked in mentally after that match. They had opportunities to win both at the garden. But they could also be clean swept when all is said and done. Just how frustrating they are at times.

Maybe one of these teams can push this number from 5 to 6.

Teams that have gone up 2-0 in a first-round series are 89-5 when it comes to winning that series, meaning they win 94.6 percent of the time.

Probably the Sixers.

For the Suns, maybe they have one of those series' where the road team looks awful every game and then it comes down to game 7, we'll see how game 3 goes. It's happened before, though we all forget, but teams have gotten beat up in game 1 and 2 and then it's 2-2 after 4.

Of course whether they can win the game 7 on the road is a different question.

The Sixers. If Embiid is healthy, they should be able to win.

From most likely to least likely

Suns - 3 pt variance is huge in modern basketball and they have 3 elite players that can score
Magic - Cleveland has bad habit to shoot themselves in the foot
76ers - Knicks have too many good answers to Embiid and Maxey, Brunson is him, Thibs is a great caoch, they have MSG advantage... and Embiid isn't 100% all too much for the 76ers to overcome
Lakers - if it were OKC, Dallas, Clippers, Minnesota, Phoenix... they'd have a chance to come back but since its Denver they have 0 chance. no way are they winning all 3 in LA and a game in Denver. I'd be surprised if they even extended this to 7

No 0-2 team will be able to get out of this hole this first round (un)fortunately— Lakers are the guaranteed eliminated soon, because, Jokic (and Murray)

Sixers and Suns might battle a bit but both won’t survive a Game 7 (if it gets there).
