Bow Down to Spo. "Again??" Yes, Again

One of the best teams in history on their homecourt against your team without 2/3 leading scorers?

Light work.

"But picc, its not Spo, the Heat just hit all their threes"

I got news for you. No matter what team it was, if Spo was coaching they'd ALL hit all their threes. I don't know what voodoo he does to turn people into flamethrowers and make rag tag bunches of nobody's into the 2004 Pistons on defense, but whatever it is I have full confidence in it being him and not them.

Spo has been the best coach for years. I still expect Celtics to win the series based on talent, but major props to Spo as a whole.

Does Spo keep a piece of hair of every superstar in the league with a bamboo doll in his pocket, a jar of goat's blood and the foreskin of a centaur?

A decent coach can take very good players and win.

A great coach can take average (or better, not dissing Bam or anyone else) players with discernible weaknesses and fit them together to make a really good team. Bam and Caleb are small for their position. Duncan is physically weak and struggles to stay in front of people. Herro will take bad shots if you let him and also can’t stay in front of people. Jovic has a ton to learn, as does Jaime.

Spo puts them in a position to succeed more often than not. Best coach in the league, by a good margin.

Contrast that with oh, I don’t know, Monty Williams. Jamming square pegs into round holes all over the place and blaming it on inexperience. That dude sucks.

If Lebron stayed with Spo and the Heat after 2014, does he win more or less than 2 rings?

Spo and Udoka are some of the best coaches. As a rockets fan I'm thankful for that front office execs wife who had an affair with Ime lol

What if he actually beats the Celtics without Jimmy. What a joke

Every Coach of the Year award this decade was really just the "Coach of the Year not counting Spo".

Does that mean the Heat rings belong mainly to Spo and not Lebron.

Best coach of his generation and pound for pound a better coach than Pat Riley at this point. This is insane. Literally gets zero credit for changing the NBA for good using pace and space and small-ball to win a chip.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Definitely taking the over there, but I don't fully blame LeBron, he wanted to fix his rep and he did that in 2016, doesn't matter how many he wins in Miami he can't ever replace that one. The Lakers tenure feels kinda weird/like a mistake but whatever, he clearly wanted to be in LA for business/family reasons.

You know what would be fun though, to have Spo guest on one of those JJ/LeBron podcasts and have the 3 of them discuss stuff.

spo deserves a ton of credit but riley/the heat organization do an amazing job of bringing in smart/coachable players. you really need the right guys to execute and the heat consistently bring the right guys in.

This game had nothing to do with his coaching. The Heat got hot with 3 and kept making their shot.
