LeBron's body language is killing the Lakers

Post#1 » by ScrantonBulls » Fri Apr 26, 2024 4:21 am

Just look at him this game. His body language is awful. He's huffing and puffing and looking like a guy whose team is getting beaten down. Body language is contagious, and he needs to be better about it. He needs to smile and joke around with his teammates, even if he doesn't want to. That's the job of a leader. Sorry, but his body language is simply killing the team right now.

Body language is one part but you can clearly see why LeBron is "just" a All-Star in this league and not a mvp-caliber player: when Lakers fail to score James can`t get into another gear and he gets very passive and just tries a lot of threes without getting to the rim. This happens several times already during these three games.

I think lack of talent is killing the Lakers. And Lebron's issue, if any, is he's old.

LeBron and AD simply aren't good enough to overcome the poor coaching and roster construction and that's ok.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

So smile while you’re on the verge of getting SWEPT by the same team in two consecutive post seasons?

I think possibly another wrinkle to this is that Im hearing Lebron has never been swept in the 1st round in his career.

Nah, he could be smiling all the time and they still would get swept. And then people would be criticizing him for smiling while getting swept.

What’s killing the Lakers is Denver is just a well oiled machine that LA just has no legit shot of stopping them.

This is all about Denver being too good.

this is exactly what he looks like when he's done. His last year in CLE, his last year with MIA, and now this. He's essentially broadcasting to the world that he's not at fault, he's not part of the problem and he needs more help. It's the story of his career. I wonder what the next Super team he forms will look like

He's old. There's nothing more nothing less. He can still put a pretty decent performance on the offensive end but everything else is just not there for him.

Just like when Kobe tore his achilles. I knew then that the is the last time im seeing Kobe Bryant as I knew him. This version of Lebron outside of the bubble is playing way past his shelf life. Theres nothing else to expect really. Its all on AD but AD is just not that guy.

Nothing, it's just the go-to excuse Lebron fans use nowadays. Age has absolutely nothing to do with you present yourself on the court and Lebron's body language is downright pathetic at times when his teams are losing.

We both know the poor body language didn't start when he got old, it started when he faced adversity.

He's had some amazing highs in his career, but when things don't go his way, sometimes he does mentally check out. I saw this all the way back when he had a 66 win Cavs team, he won his first MVP, and he got beat soundly by a Magic team with only one star (Dwight Howard). He put up good stats, but he lacked composure, he whined a lot, and you could tell the series was over well before the Magic finished them off. He just has two ways he handles adversity, we saw the good way down against the Spurs and down 3-1 against the Warriors, but if you haven't noticed the other way he handles adversity and how he kind of checks out mentally you haven't been paying attention...
