Siakam value?
Siakam being a FA next year, whatcdo you see his value -next contract being?
He is no longer the top player but still is a high level player. I see Indiana having a difficult time justifying more than $30m.
Haliburton is their top player, with Turner second.

Was disappointed in him in game 3 when he missed the free throw to shut-out the game. He's flaky at the line.
His price is in the $40m range, right?

Re: Siakam value?
Definitely the max.
He's made All-Star and All-NBA teams in the past, is still young and productive enough to make a few more in the future, and has had no injury woes... so the max, yes.
If Indiana doesn't offer it, then someone else will.

Re: Siakam value?
Pistons would likely offer him a four year max without hesitation... so he will have the option to sign a four year $180 million contract.
$42 mil
$44 mil
$46 mil
$48 mil
Total four years $180 million.
Its certainly possible he's prefer to stay with Indy at 5 years $200 million or something near that level so they perhaps could get him at a flat $40 million per year but he isn't going to take too much less per year to stay with Indy versus just taking the bag $$$$.

Re: Siakam value?
He wanted a full max and not a penny less. Indiana must have been OK with this if they traded for him.
Masai didn't think he was worth that much and preferred the poo poo platter we got instead lol.

He is very lucky that Giannis is not playing; he may get max now.

I mean it's not a new concept to see players balling out of their minds in their contract year when it comes to performance in the playoffs. THAT BEING SAID, Pascal certainly elevates his game during the playoffs every year.
He is a max guy, and while he could get quiet during the regular season, I think his clutch gene and ability to get a bucket in the mid-range game trumps any regular season deficiencies.

Re: Siakam value?
The Pacers would be complete idiots not to max him after giving up those assets in the trade. It’s very likely been agreed in principle already, in fact.

Free agents aren't knocking down our door in small market Indy. We'll pay him the max. He wants to be here.

Re: Siakam value?
He will get max offer, he's the type of max player that is borderline worth the money but you still pay for the talent.
And even with that money he would have trade value at FRPs because other teams still want to add that talent.

Is there any way Mavs part w/players to even up salary difference in signing Siakam as FA(keep Luka, Kryrie, Lively, Gafford,Kleber). We need 3rd scorer to win it all

Nah, it's difficult to give up a player for no salary in return. Rarely ever happens, and we'd have to do that with multiple players.

Re: Siakam value?
Philadelphia will offer him a full max, and they have his old coach. If Indiana wanted to just spend $30m, maybe they could get Tobias Harris.louc1970 wrote:Siakam being a FA next year, whatcdo you see his value -next contract being?

And it will be exactly the right move. He is a very productive player, well worth the money for Indy.

I am not sure Siakam is max guy at all, but I am just cheap
Also, is Indianapolis really a small market? Have never been, but from what I have seen, that city seems huge.

Ty balled out at the beginning of the year, but since his injury the best player been Siakam by a mile.

And you can see why his market is/was limited. He'll get the deal he wants but there's only a small number of teams willing to be paying him $40 million + at the tail end of that deal when he'll be 35/36.
He fits well in Indy playing off Turner and Haliburton, so I think he sticks with them. I would be very surprised if Philly makes an offer, I don't see him as a Morey type of player.
