They need to stay healthy next year in order to secure a higher seed in the playoffs. I think they can beat any of the teams that would be in the lower seeds next year in the first round.
Then, it would be a matter of luck in regards to matchups on how much further they could progress.
I think they should give it one more year. But, it does sound like either Vogel needs to change the offense to appease Durant or the Suns need to hire a new coach.

Re: House of the falling Sun.
Anybody with half a brain could notice the Beal trade was a very dumb move.
You can't win with a core of average defenders + shoot first guys + no depth. This isn't NBA2K.
It was a trade as dumb and bad as the Westbrook trade to LAL. You can see the dissaster about to happen from a million miles.
This is the problem with giving players too much power, they have this type of stupid ideas of pairing stars and thinking they are going to win just because they are talented. There is a reason GM's get paid millions to do their job.

Go read Ishbia’s quotes in the ESPN article from today. He’s delusional. They’re screwed, at least for a while yet.

Here's some snippets. God help Suns fans.
"I thought Frank did a great job given the circumstances"
"I'm happy where we're at"
"Guess what? I'm going to own the team for 50 years, and probably 45, 46, 47 of those years, we'll probably have the same conversation."
"We're in a great position. We're going to be in a great position next year."
"Let's be real -- ask the other 29 GMs [in the NBA], 26 of them would trade their whole team for our whole team and our draft picks as is. The house is not on fire. We're in a great position. It's not hard to fix. We have enough talent to win a championship."

The only three wouldn’t trade positions with us right now really got me. I can name 20, probably more.
The sad part is, my team isn’t one of them.

Kd never learns.
Pushed to trade all the depth on the nets for harden when him + kyrie + the supporting cast that made the playoffs without them could've won in 2021.
Signed off on the Trade that sent all the depth on the suns for Beal a redundant player between kd and booker.

Re: House of the falling Sun.
The Suns need grinders and dirty work players more than a PG unless the PG is a grinder and dirty work guy. They don't need a Tyus Jones who is worse on defense than Beal, Booker, KD, and Nurkic and does less dirty work and grinding than those 4 as well. That's the last type of person you need next to KD, Booker, and Beal. But if we're talking about a PG, Delon Wright is probably the best fit next to KD, Beal, and Booker.

The Suns needs, in the following order:
-a realistic owner
-an empowered GM or whoever to make final basketball decisions
-get players healthy, accountable, and ready when the season starts
-let their big 3 play togther for a period of time, develop chemistry and adjust/add pieces as needed
