I just hope we blew this thing up entirely and try to get some assets back. If Ishbia tries to run this back we're gonna be screwed until the 2030's.

I would phone the Nets and ask for a Simmons Beal trade

Not sure what Durants contract is like. Beal isn't going anywhere. Trade Booker and stack as many chips as you can at this point.

That trade for Beal has to go down as one of the all time worst.

The KD trade was such a horrible move for them. They had a strong young core that could’ve had a window for several years. Traded it all away for washed up talent.

I remember when people were praising James Jones for building a juggernaut lmfao

Wouldn't matter, who would be trading for him anyway?

Mortgaged their entire future for a team that at best had a 2 year window. Horrible decision making by that FO. The team was already cooked by trading all depth for KD, and they only made it worse getting Beal. This is some Detroit level goofy head stuff.

All that hype over new ownership and they get swept.

The issue is them being willing to actually sell instead of retool. No one who wants KD is going to trade back a piece that will help more than him. The Durant trade is just another reminder that games aren't won on "value". Few teams can weather true all-in moves

At the time it was made, Durant was still a difference maker—now he’s not, and it showed in this series even though he still can score efficiently.

suns have been doing horrible gming ever since the offseason they first aquired chris paul.
Cut a YOUNG team that was going to develop into something and tried to go win now, and they won a mountain goats crap in a silver plate.

Parallels between this KD team and and the 2022 Nets one are pretty hilarious.

Both teams completely disjointed all season with arrogant ownership and management assuming you can win just on star power alone. Only to be knocked out by a young elite defensive team with a young star (Tatum/Celtics) and (Ant/Wolves).
