Wow...does the playoffs need more drama? T-Wolves are rolling too.

He can probably wait till the off-season since coaching doesn't require him to run or jump.

I might be wrong here. But I know people in the real non-sports world that have torn ACLs and did nothing about it because of course some non rich people don't have the time or money to be out of action that long.

I was wondering about this. Is it like a torn ACL where you can still walk with it torn? I'm thinking it's probably worse.

Easy. Pay some kid a fiddy to wheel him up and down the court so he can call plays on the fly. If the kid gets tired, pull another one from the crowd ;)

The patellar tendon connects your kneecap to your shin bone. So probably not.

The only surprising part is this doesn’t happen more often to non players right along the sidelines. For example, pregnant women and babies. I started a thread on that last year. It’s a real concern. These are huge athletes moving full speed.

Hope he bounces back to keep coaching.

I mean, he'll definitely keep coaching. Might be on crutches or a wheelchair, but a leg injury shouldn't prevent him from being on the sidelines should it?

Hopefully. Painkillers can hit people differently.

Damn. Wolves won their first playoffs in 2 decades and their head coach got a season-ending surgery. Minnesota sports curse continues.
