Suns overpaid for him, Bridges is pretty good Johnson isn't bad but the 4 unprotected 1st round picks is the kicker. No team is going to offer that same haul this time.

People should keep in mind something when criticizing Durant's play or thinking about trade value he had an achilles tear. No player is ever the same after that. Although he's been pretty good compared to others who suffered the same injury, this is not Warriors Durant. He'll also be 36 by the time next season starts.

Suns screwed up, but thats aint Durants fault, not like I want to defend guy who dodges blame, but point fingers instead, but he has nothing to do with Ishbia playing myGM mode badly.

I'm continually disappointed by Durant. All the talent, genetics, and skills in the world, yet doesn't see the big picture of the game. Still blaming others, not that he's the only one with fault but.. if every team you're on is dysfunctional, maybe time to look in the mirror.

Emphasis on all the talent in the world. Guy had everything to be top 10 all time. Outside of Jokic, nobody playing today can stand next to KD during his MVP season.

He had an incredibly efficient series but watching him vs Edwards showed the difference in mentality. KD just really never imposed his will on the game during the series. He's done it in the past (nets series vs bucks several years ago) but for the most part KD just goes with the flow. That's why GS was such a seamless fit for him.

There was only so much he could do. Saying something nebulous and cliched like "he didn't impose his will" is sports writer talk. If you asked a journalist what KD should have done different against Minnesota you'd have similarly styled answer.

I get what you're saying too. Durant's personality isn't that of a player who's going to walk into a new locker room and take over the team. He was more than happy to share FGA's with Steph in Golden State, same with Booker and Beal in Phoenix. You give him the keys and he can make a GOAT candidate beg off guarding like we saw in the 2017 Finals. You let him be part of an ensemble, he'll do that and you get this series.

Genuinely confused by this claim. Our offense wasn't even slightly KD standing in a corner. If anything it was dominated by throwing it to KD and letting him ISO.

Our offense was a huge unexpected problem this year. No cohesiveness no real plan just iso and make terrible passes. I still think a plan less reliant on a PG would work well.

Knowing how sensitive Durant is you really think that Ishbia didn't have KD sign off on the trade before he made it? Listen to the stuff they were saying at the start of the season, he thought it was a good idea. He's playing GM too and that's part of why his team have failed.

Way too often the Suns offense was just guys taking turns isoing. If it's not your turn you end up just standing around.

And that’s KD’s mindset and style of play 24/7. People make excuses for him because he’s an efficient scorer in comparison to the likes of Carmelo Anthony, AI, etc, but outside of GSW, KD would’ve been a ring less loser. He’s simply not on the level of LeBron, Luka, Jovic, etc, when it comes to controlling the tempo of a game and running the offense of his team consistently, he’s never been and never will be that guy.

Where does KD go from here?

Does he beg Steph to take him back?

Does he take the easy road and demand a trade to Denver?

Does he join the team that just eliminated him?

Does he join forces with another prolofic ring chaser like LeBron?

Denver isn't gutting their team to add Durant. GS I doubt there's a trade that would be appealing to the Suns.

Michael Porter Jr. + Reggie Jackson + Zeke Nnaji gets the job done. They do that trade!
