KD's next destination?
What would be the best destination for him if he were to ask for a trade or leave in free agency?

What are teams willing to offer for his services ? He probably still has two good years left at 50M. Put your offers.

You'd have to think the Warriors would be interested (for Wiggins, Paul, and a protected pick). Not sure what restrictions the Suns will have on trades given their salary situation.
New York would be another team I could see making a run (for Randle, Bogdanovic, and draft picks).

Re: KD's next destination?
He's not going anywhere. At 36yo his value is nowhere what Phoenix sent out to get him and these last 3 post seasons have proven that he isn't that singular playoff difference maker anymore. He'll get his numbers and play a ton of minutes but his impact on winning and making his teammates better just isn't there.
It takes 2 to tango and I don't see any contenders giving up real pieces to make Phoenix even consider trading him. Especially at a 50m salary, that is a whole lot of pieces that Phoenix needs to love. Guys like Randle, CP3, Randle, Bogdanovic etc mentioned in this thread are all guys who are much worse than KD and none of them move the competitive needle.

36, already had a major injury, not really a rah-rah leader, needs a structured organization to have him really focus on fundamentals.
Thunder?
Thunder?

Thunder?
For the reasons stated above. It's got to be the Knicks.

Going to be 36 next season. He really avoids going to the rim these days. Would be a good 2nd option on the right team. Younger players are passing these guys by. And its time for some fans to accept reality now.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

It's the Suns, but I voted Nuggets because I think that would be hilarious.

We are too far away from contention right now. AD is old as dirt, with only a few playing years left in him. He'd help the Spurs make the playoffs, that's about it.
Guy wants to win more rings before retirement. Current contenders.
My guess is that they run it back in Phoenix, grab a dynamic PG (Spurs needs that as well) and build up the bench.
....or jump on to the TWolves, Nuggets train! Or even back to OKC.
Hell, maybe even NY Knicks!

Wouldn't mind seeing him in NOP.

He needs to go back home to DC and win one for them like Lebron did for his home team to even be considered better than Lebron, before announcing he can be a goat, too. Not much on doing the right thing if he can't handle that.nbafan38 wrote:What would be the best destination for him if he were to ask for a trade or leave in free agency?

Re: KD's next destination?
Lakers sign and Trade D Lo to a 25 million a season
DLo, Gabe, Rui = 50 million
Suns get two points Guards to run the offense which is really needed with that offense right now.
Rui would be replace the SF/PF that Durant will be leaving

Re: KD's next destination?
Philly’s the answer. They’ll probably be desperate if they don’t come back against the Knicks and if Ishbia was smart enough to pull the plug this summer they could take most of KD’s salary into their cap space and get the Suns out of this second apron hell they’ve committed themselves to. If they wait until midseason next year when it’s clear they’re ****, the Sixers should still have movable assets.
