The Nuggets are nothing special - now and going forward

Sorry for beating a dead horse and making a thread about my random thoughts, but people are still picking them as favorites. The Nuggets are barely handling the 7th seed Lakers who can't shoot 3s. I know it's 3-1, but the Lakers have lead for far more minutes during this series. Without Murray playing way above his head and like a superstar, the team isn't that special. Jokic is basically God, but it's a team game. They are going to really struggle against the better teams in the west.

I see this as a problem though forward for this team. Murray isn't THAT good, MPJ has injury concerns. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nugs don't win another championship with this roster.

I agree with you. The only special team in the NBA this year is the Celtics who have played at an ATG level. But they still have the best player in the NBA and that can win you a series over a superior opponent.

Jokic is historically special, but the team overall is not.

Still a contender though in this era.

They had a 53 win season and won a title in a down year, then followed it up with a 57 win season where they may not win the title. Slow down on overrating them.

Nothing except a 4-0 sweep and the Nuggets going all out all the time and leading for 192 minutes would've impressed me. Fake champs.

You could Monday morning quarterback their depth insurance with Murray. Be real nice to have a guy like Caruso or the like right now if your Denver. Id still pick a healthy Denver over anybody tho.

People underestimate them because they don't got multiple "stars". And I think they are just happy to be underestimated. Vegas isn't.

They are special. The only problem is that they are not deep. So they are pretty much a Jokic or Murray injury away from being a non playoff team

The Nuggets didn't play well but the Lakers are probably in the Mavs/Clips range. It wasn't an easy 2/7 matchup.

I agree. The Nuggets have been exposed. They may have won the series 4-1, but the Lakers were the better team. Just like last season.
