New NBA Media Deals

Post#1 » by Curmudgeon » Fri May 3, 2024 12:31 am

According to Bloomberg News, the NBA has agreed to a "general framework" of a $2.6 billion deal with Disney (which owns ABC) and a $1.8 billion deal with Amazon, which presumably will stream games on one of its platforms, e.g. Amazon Prime.

Does this mean that Turner and ESPN are out of the picture?

I believe Disney owns ESPN. Turner, on the other hand. If you're a fan of AEW, I suppose you'll be seeing more of it.

Yes, my bad. Disney owns both ABC and ESPN (80%).
