The problem here is that you are just pulling **** out of thin air. You are assuming that the woman that Pat Bev hit said something racist even though Pat Bev wasn't even aiming at her. He was aiming at a different fan and just **** missed and hit another fan sitting nearby.

The other assumption here is that something extreme must have been said to elicit this reaction by Beverley. But did something extreme had to be said for Beverley to react like that? Not necessarily. Beverley could have just been upset at losing and being eliminated from the playoffs. In fact, I think that his reaction to that reporter later on is a clear indication that he was just being a sore loser (and, well, a misogynist as well but that's a different discussion).

I do not disagree that generally speaking, fans act horribly at settings like sporting events, and those that do should be embarrassed by their behavior, and that's well before we even get into anyone saying racist stuff.

The fans are a constant though, and that means that part of being a professional athlete is maintaining your professionalism such that you're not throwing things at people or attacking them physically in any way.

I've supported players getting fans tossed, and I wouldn't have had a problem if that's what Bev did here, but instead he decided to act like a poorly behaved child.

I said he should have went the Westbrook route and had the fan removed. But when these players snap I can't really take issue with it because they have to deal with fans yelling and calling them all kinds of names through the season. Some players just get fed up and lose it.

Bev seems to have a anger issue though. He already showed how he handled elimination games when he shoved CP3 in the back. Dude needs to fix whatever issue he has it's not a good look.
